Just got ordered 2 free tickets for Torquay & Wimbledon
Have a look on the Official Site - Scally has gone soft
Toldbrb - he thinks it's an April fool trick - but it is not a wind up.

I know today's date - but have a look at the official site - the offer to season ticket holders (AT LAST) is on there - 2 tickets for FREE for both games

I expect (demand) a lot of rep for this one
    edit * - it's been 21 minutes - where's my rep ?

alwaysright - Yes I have seen the website and Scally making a fool of himself in the eyes of this season ticket holder. All incentives for day trippers are normally announced in advance, so it is conveniently left until April Fool to supposedly make an offer of FREE tickets to two matches that season ticket holders might have already purchased for friends and family <laugh>

As the clock strikes a minute past mid-day, I expect Scally to announce a full refund on all tickets for Torquay/AFC Wimbledon purchased by ST holders, while witnessing a massive surge on the phone lines <whistle> either way here was me thinking FAT BOY EVANS was going to be the only clown of the show today!

This is one fool incentive on a more serious note that either way could back fire in showing through joke or incidental timing what the club thinks of its season ticket holders.

I've not phoned up mate and have no intention too <laugh>

Either way I've got my tickets and that's all that matters. If the offer is genuine I can ring after today's event and will just give them away to whoever wants them. Anyway I see my son later for something more important (apart from the beer) in that I need to get his account number for the Burton tickets, priorities, priorities.

ps. my rep power is worthless, as a supermod I'm forever stuck on 10 <grr>

I did doubt it as well as it is a weird day to announce it but as soon as they announced it at the game that did confirm it.

It is not the sort of day to announce it as this is not something we do often so strange day to announce it really.

Just got mine - got the ticket close to us in the Medway stand so seems you can have what you like (maybe it has to be near to your season ticket seat?)

For what I could see last night it still stated good availability in the Medway Stand, you just might not be able to get specific seat requests. Not sure with the Town End whether that is going to be opened up for Gills fans. I guess for the Wimbledon game a lot of the allocation might have gone to them. I think they brought down 1,000 last time off the top of my head and looking at the league table it will be dependent if they are fighting against relegation.

Yes, I was ok for the Torquay game, got the seats next to me for family, but for the Dons game I could not get them anywhere near. Not that it matters a seat is a seat but just don't want other fans to miss out. Anyway I'm pleased you got what you wanted <ok>

Now you're becoming happy - and you thought I was on the wind up - you should know that 1st April is my rest day for such activities.

Oh well I did warn. Just seen on twitter there are no free tickets left for the AFC Wimbledon game. So if you need to purchase one, best get them NOW!

    Just looked Online.

Rainham End : Four centre blocks UNAVAILABLE - I assume that means sold out and the remaining three blocks LIMITED.

Medway Stand Lower : Five blocks LIMITED

Medway Stand Upper : Seven blocks UNAVAILABLE

Biggest availability appears to be in the GRS, so you can have the pleasure of joining alwaysright <laugh>

For Away fans I see by the official AFC Wimbledon site that section has been designated all-ticket and they must be purchased in advance...

I have to say that I was a bit miffed about the free tickets being announced this late. I had bought two tickets for relatives who regularly come, last week, so I could have got them for nought. But at least by buying them I managed to get them for where they usually sit. I got two free ones as well ,for my daughter and her boyfriend who have never been before, and I got them for the Wimbledon game and I got the tickets in the gold section of the GRS, so at least thats a bit of a result, but If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have had to fork out for the first ones.

All in all though brb, maybe the club was looking at the thread about not doing enough for S/T holders.

Scally must be reading on here... :)

Must admit guys, I did feel a bit guilty afterwards slagging off Scally for an April Fool joke. For which I apologise but what a day to announce it.

alwaysright - did keep phoning me to tell me it was not a joke but I still did not believe him. Sorry but when you have had so many stunts pulled over the years you believe no one.

Any way I'm sure a supply of beer will put it right and if Scally does read this thread Sir Keefy, he can feel free to join us if he so chooses.
