Can't believe how much Leicester have fallen away since January. The way things have gone I can't see Pearson been there next season given how paramount promotion was for them this season.
As they say, you learn something new everyday; I never knew he was in the Steve Miller Band. I was only ever aware of his solo stuff and then only because I went to a party on Tranby Lane, at a mates girlfriends house and she had an LP of Silk Degrees. Ahh happy days!
Pearsons gone either way, if they dont get promotion he,s gone and if they were to manage to get promoted he,s gone, as the owners would not take a chance on him. He,s no where near good enough for top flight...
ISTPLT still disputes this by the way. I'm happy to be proved wrong, it's just I swear I've never ever known a player be banned for one game after getting a straight red in an English League game.
I'm sure you're right, a look through the rules on the FA's site would probably answer your question but I can't be arsed to do it.
F.A. disciplinary rules. The following rules apply to Premiership, Football League, F.A. Cup games, and friendlies. However, friendlies arranged so as to return banned players quickly may be discounted by the F.A. Suspensions for bookings. If any player... ...reaches 21 points by the last Sunday in November, they get a 3 match ban ...reaches 21 points by the last Sunday in February, they get a 2 match ban ...reaches 21 points by the last Sunday in April, they get a 1 match ban ...reaches 21 points by the end of the season, they get a warning about their future conduct. Players who've passed 21 points and go on to get 33 points will be suspended again: For reaching... ...33 points by the last Sunday in March, they get a 2 match ban ...33 points by the last Sunday in April, they get a 1 match ban ...33 points by the end of the season, they get a warning about their future conduct. Players who go on to 45 points in a season must attend a disciplinary commision. Players who pass 21, 33 or 45 points will have their excess points carried forward to the next season. Suspensions start 14 days after the players last offence. Sendings off For second bookable offence or for serious professional foul relating to a goalscoring opportunity, 1 match ban. For foul and abusive language, 2 match ban. For violent conduct or serious foul play, 3 match ban. Players sent off for second time in season, extra 1 match ban. Players sent off for third time in season, extra 2 match ban. Schedule of Penalty Points Foul tackle 4 pts Dangerous or foul play 4 pts Shirt pulling 4 pts Tripping 4 pts Showing dissent 4 pts Persistant infringements 3 pts Obstruction 3 pts Encroachment at a free kick 2 pts Encroachment at a penalty 2 pts Wasting time 2 pts Ungentlemanly conduct 2 pts Entering the field without permission 1 pt Club totals will be accrued 10 points for a player sent off for 2 bookings and 12 for any other sending off. (These are added to the Club total for all players points awarded).
No, TC's post is just wrong. To pick out the most blatantly obvious and simple part that's wrong, "all suspensions will start 14 days after the players last offence". Ignoring the grammar issue that would be corrected if it were genuinely produced by the FA at that level of the game, we know full well that suspensions start immediately. Meyler picked up his 5th booking against Derby on December 21st and missed the game with Leicester on Boxing Day, and for red cards Morgan who got sent off on Friday is missing the game on Monday. You could throw in that it apparently applies to friendlies but not to the League Cup, and that any rapidly arranged friendlies designed to bypass the suspension can be discounted. Since when did friendlies count towards the games you were suspended in?
Yeah friendlies/reserves are a different category to domestic competitive and European competitive games (which are also both different, in Europe 3 yellows = 1 match ban). I posted in another thread I wasn't sure if serious foul play was 1 or 3 match, it turns out to be 3 matches so deliberate hand ball is a 3 match ban. I'm certain handball used to be classed as a pro foul but they changed it.
It wont be long now. Foxes now outside of the top 6 and with Morgan suspended for todays game @ Barnsley it would not surprise me to see the Foxes lose again. NP is gone regardless imo. Just a case of when NOT IF. MON for the Foxes anyone ?
I agree, he does look shot. But if i was Leicesters owners i would definitely try and persuade him. Get John Robertson back to reinvigorate him and its a no brainer.
I don't think MON will rush back into football. He has just been sacked from his dream job, as he was a Sunderland fan. As for appointing Di Canio - bold move, but I think it will end in tears.
It is a ****ing mental decision to sack someone with MON's experience for someone with PdC's. Elliott must be a few pennies Short of a shilling.
