    I think it would be best for him if he stayed.

    I could see him moving and not doing much (Dempsey).

    Yeah, it would be a few million, but it's rare a team sells when his worth to a team is far less than his transfer fee, unless they kick up a stink about going that is and I can't see Rickie doing that, only the other week he reiterated his desire to retire at Saints.

    What's good about this is that at last there is some semblance of a sense of humour within the club's PR. A sense of the personal rather than the corporate. We're here for you not just to fleece you. Long may it continue.

    Liverpool are the only team I could possibly see him leaving us for, despite what he said about finishing his career here, the pull of his boyhood team may be too much. Nicola would demand a decent price for him though.
