I know when Bruce came in he was talking about renewing the deals that we had here, and he has said Mcshane is going to get a new contract. However have we extended Chester's yet. I know previously they said it was quite close, how close did it get, has extended it? Or are we waiting til we know what division we are in? Just haven't heard a lot about this for a while so wondered if anyone had any information.

If we go up he'll sign a new long term deal, if we don't he'll leave in the summer and we'll get about half of what he's worth.

I'm pretty sure I heard an interview with SB a few weeks ago and when Burnsy asked him about Chester's contract, SB said that they were leaving it to sort out in the summer.

He's on about ten times less than McShane. Two players in the same position and of a similar age. Chester is established as a 'first name on the team sheet' player and his wage just doesn't reflect that.

That's fine but this is why football has gone mad is because raises can be demanded whenever. If you sign a 3 year contract on x amount, you should only get a ay review at the end of the 3 years.

McShane really isn't good enough for the Premiership so if we go up a long term contract on the money he earns is ridiculous. If we don't go up the situation is even more ludicrous ,he's been overpaid for the last 4 years.

The point is if we don't offer him an extension then he walks on a free transfer next summer, if he's signed an extension we get a transfer fee for him.

I suspect that Rosenoir will get a new contract like McShane regardless of what league we are in. Just a case of if its championship wages or PL wages with a relegation clause inserted.

Rosie is a proven PL quality player and it makes no sense what-so-ever to even think of letting him go. I would be more than amazed if SB made the mistake of not keeping Rosie for at least 2 more years.

With both McShanes and Olifinjanas old PL wages off the books in the summer - money wont be an issue. imo
