I loved Pochettino's post-match interview on SaintsPlayer. A bit of English appearing, and he had a laugh with those making noise in the tunnel whilst also getting them to do as he says and "sssshhhh!"

In all of today's excitement I had totally forgot about the bizarre incident of Terry deciding to dry hump Lambert on the floor...very odd. Any GIFs of that doing the rounds?

Whilst I have said that for a while (since Davis' form improved) You can't say that on here. Davis didn't cost £12m+, hasn't been hyped up as a Messi of the future and therefore 1 touch a game is hailed as genius.

You can say it to me though, Davis should start VERY game as long as his form continues.

Can't believe (and I've just read form page 3) that the descriptions of our first goal don't describe the pass from Rickie to Davis. It was reverse to the extreme. Sublime vision and THAT is why he is way way above any other English striker.

Yes he has more goals than any other Englishman in the league (and yes he plays every game where others may be rested) but he also adds a quality akin to Rooney that he can play anywhere from the half way line to the front man no matter whether he is behind his midfield or in front of it. That is a rare thing and that is why Rooney is often slated......because most football fans only see that a 'striker' should be up front and score goals.
Lambert and Rooney are skilled 'forwards' not strikers and I think they would be lethal together.

p.s. I have edited this BUT I've just finished the 2007 Crianza and opened the 2008. Bit disturbing that the 2008 is a screw cap but so far that failing seems not to have affected the taste. Of course tastes better than the 2007 but that may be due to the 2007 blurring the ability to assess the 2008 :)

:~~~~~) Yes my nose is that big :)

On September 16th, we were bottom of the table. No team had ever survived after losing their first four, we were the only team yet to record a point, we were a league-worst -9 on goal differential.

Since then, we've recorded 34 points in 27 games, top half pace. We've scored a goal for every goal surrendered, we have eight wins against nine losses. Midway through the year, we hadn't beaten a team outside of the relegation race; now, we've beaten the last three that we've faced.

    Confidence is kinda sorta important.

If a wine is less than 10 years old then it doesn't matter if it has a screw cap. There will be no difference in taste.

Haha I found that one pretty hilarious too. Just bear-hugged him around the waist with a huge grin on his face, I bet he was thinking 'I've finally got you!' after he'd been watching Rickie run rings around him. ;)

Rickie found it pretty funny too, was nice to see when many players would have a strop and there would be a little kick or slap that they both just had a chuckle about it, shook hands and played on.

Why did you sack Dalglish when you were a mid table, formerly well-known, feared force of football and now you are ..... oh yeah just another team to to have an off day in southern climates!! :)

Just watched the extended highlights on Player. Looks like Chelsea gave us more trouble than City or Liverpool. Yoshida lucky not to give away a penalty...very strong barge on a Chelsea player. Tremendous save from Kelvin. Good ref spotting Torres controlling the ball with his arm and disallowing his goal. We have had other games where we deserved all 3 points and not got them, this time, although we deserved to win anyway, we had some of the luck as well.

NB Rodriguez is now looking like a 7 million pound player.

I think the reason why Chelsea were not given the usual descriptive off-day was because they did have a substantial part of the second half. They weren't lack-lustre, but they were certainly up against a better team on the day.
