Glad Reading lost for our sakes, but I feel for Nige...I'm sure everyone at the club knows he was brought in for next season. There was no chance of saving themselves.
I'm waiting for that day that we put our chances away and slaughter someone. West Ham would be nice, but better to beat Reading next week. On 37 points we would be virtually home and hosed.
The BBC journolists spout some bull on their website! Struggling Southampton stun Chelsea?! In the build up to the game, many thought we would do well, even Chelsea fans! We are certainly far from struggling of late! Chelsea are also famously inconsistent, turn on their manager over anything, and have 4 games in up to next sunday! We were well within a shout!

They've appended 'struggling' to most of our good results, and their choice of words seems to be solely down to position in the table. Suspect that they will not going with the same now that we're 12th (!)
Nicholl on Sky made a good point. If Benitez isn't here next year, fourth spot is less important to him than winning a cup.
