The contracts for our main sponsor FxPro and our shirt sponsor Kappa are due up this June. please log in to view this image Itâs pretty clear that we wonât be re-newing the Kappa agreement, not least because itâs core value is peanuts and the sale of their kit has been, shall we say disappointing. However we face quite a bit of competition with Spurs, Villa and apparently now Sunderland looking for new shirt sponsors from next Season. Adidas are said to be in the market. Personally I always liked their shirts so hereâs hoping. A tad more worrying though is our main sponsor FxPro with all the money problems in Cyprus. They were established in 2006 in Cyprus and have offices in Cyprus, Russia and the UK. Itâs business is as a trading facility on financial âstuffâ; ranging from foreign exchange, futures and indices, to metals and Contracts for Differences on stocks. [Whatever that is!] In March 2013 it shutdown its australian subsidiary that had been opened in 2011 and moved those clients to its cyprus and UK operations after new capital regulations came into force in Australia. What the future now holds has to be debatable. Itâs very unlikely that the current deal with them will be re-newed never mind improved on. So who would you like to see us linked with ??
Spillers, the dog food, manufacturers would be good, then we could have 'winalot' on our shirts. I'll get me coat.
Not our main sponsor, but good sign that this has been renewed, and hopefully with a few extra pennies in the coffers - Outdoor equipment brand Jack Wolfskin has agreed a two-year extension to its sponsorship deal with Premier League side Fulham FC. The renewal, which extends an agreement first inked in 2010, will see the Idstein, Germany-based company continue as the club’s official outdoor equipment partner until the end of the 2014/15 season Here is a link to the full story: http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/jack_wolfskin_pens_another_premier_league_extension/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+SportsProDailyDeal+%28SportsPro+Media+-+Latest+News%29&utm_medium=feed
Arsenal have signed a new shirt deal with Puma: "Arsenal have agreed the most lucrative kit contract in British football with Puma. The Gunners rake in £30m a year from a five-year deal with Emirates. Now they have reached an agreement with the Boston-based firm for £30m a year over five years from the end of 2013/14." Come on you Commercial Guys !!
I heard a few months ago we were close the agreeing a deal with Adidas but then it all went quiet. I saw this article a few months back saying Adidas were pushing for the Arsenal shirt deal… If you read it it also states they are set to conclude a deal with Fulham too. “Indeed, Arsenal are not alone in coming under Adidas’s gaze and the German manufacturer is also believed to be set to conclude a deal with Fulham. Their deal with Kappa expires at the end of the season and adidas are poised to take over.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...o-sign-25-million-shirt-deal-with-adidas.html Arsenal have gone with Puma so it may all be bollox though… I’d be more than happy with Adidas though
