To go or not to go? To hope for promotion before the Murdoch League goes full-time European or not. Those are the dilemmas facing the real fans????
Ah so you will meekly give in and be a season pass holder in the premier league mussy-face paint optional
Dunno what the solution is, Mussie - but I, for one, ****ing hate that **** Murdoch and all his media. So....we have a problem, Houston.
This may have already been mentioned but I haven't yet read all of the thread, but does the Manchester derby have these ridiculous bubble restrictions imposed?
There are bubble restrictions in place for the Manchester derby, but apparently they completely different, I think they just drink in different areas and are walked in(but I don't know the details, I might be wrong).
I bought my ticket for Ipswich on Wednesday and the bloke in the ticket office said that most Huddersfield tickets have gone to regular TT fans, I wanted to go but chose not to because of the WYP action. Its a pity the few that are going could not have joined the majority who arent, but they are fans who are used to the police stopping coaches going to pubs en route anyway so it wont make any difference to them. Shame
For old firm games at ibrox, celtic fans aren't allowed to use the subway at all, and must go in a complete opposite direction
It's a bigger shame we're not taking up our entire allocation, and after a peaceful match other than on the pitch where we stuff Udders, WYP look like ****wits. Sadly we were never going to though due to it being on Sky and not a glamour game. After todays results, tomorrow could be the biggest game we have this season, before the next biggest one of course against Watford. These 2 games could be the ones. Remember that when you're not there supporting the thing that matters. Thats the club btw.
It would have been better to take up full allocation. Full protest multiple locations, how would WYP have coped then? They would be at maximum stretch at the game, additional protests would have completely stretched the force. ****ers.
Civil liberties are more important than whether the club gets promoted or not. There are far more much bigger groups of people who've fought and died in order to be treated as equals with others in their country than have been willing to put their lives on the line to ensure that their sports team (of any sport) gets promoted. And that's not a dig at people ignoring the boycott. If people feel that by attending and supporting the team they are able to make more of a point through chanting or what ever then that is their decision and there's no issue with them, even I'm taking advantage of some loopholes to go in the home end (seperate issue, maybe there'll be enough City fans in amongst the Town fans to disrupt their support in the same way having reserved seating does at the KC?) . It is however a dig at people who feel that one club doing well on the pitch is more important than fighting a threat to the civil liberties of hundreds of thousands of people in this country.
Happy Clap.Make sure you scream your head off on Tuesday ok.I will do.As usual. My challenge to you guys, the true fans, is to make a noise like the Stoke fans.If you do I may respect you a little.I will not be holding my breath. So theres a good lad-let us hear how good you are at backing the lads. I fully expect there to be more singing on the march-probably by a factor of 10. I know it is a mixed metaphor but as Georgie Michael once sang"guilty feet ain"t got no rhythm"
This really is a quarrel between HTFC and the WYP, and we innocently been caught up in it. However much we feel about it, we are not the intended victims. We are nowt to WYP, just another opponent and visiting club to manage/**** about. By attending the game, our fans are minimising the illegitimate measures being used against our club. It's a shame some of less enlightened followers can't beyond their flasks and smell the coffee. They are letting the police off the hook. The WYP will get away with it if people from HCFC attend- the message is 'business as usual, more or less'. An empty stand is the ONLY ACCEPTABLE response.
As long as there are more on the march than on the terrace then the point will be well - made. But ONLY if the day passes with no incident - and expect provocation too.
Personally I hope trouble occurs- any sane person can see how the WYP have angered all parties and engineered a farcical situation. Hooligans do not attend 'peaceful protest marches'.
If there is trouble then it will be point well made as well. The measures used will have been shown to be not fit for purpose. I have no intention of starting or being involved in any trouble, but if any occurs I'll be adding it to the list of factors that I use to highlight that WYP have targeted innocent people because they haven't got a clue what they're doing and how to deal with any actual threats.
