The motivation behind the hatred of Anton Ferdinand is racist or at the very least its based on supporting someone who racially insulted Ferdinand. In some ways I understand the blind loyalty to Terry as many football fans are driven stupid by tribalism but viewing Ferdinand as the villain in that incident is simply vulgar.

 

Alas we find neutral ground. I agree with all of that, but I honestly did dislike Anton before this whole incident. I completely disagree with any booing from Chelsea fans too.
