Fans of both clubs will assemble at 1.45pm outside the train station in Huddersfield. At 2.00pm they will walk in unity to the library where Hull City fan Louis Cooper will give a short speech. Supporters are encouraged to carry non-alcoholic drinks and include their profession or status on any banners so police see the person behind the fan.

Hundreds are fans from both sides are expected to join the protest march before the 5.20pm kick-off. Players will show their solidarity by wearing t-shirts emblazoned with the FSF’s Watching Football Is Not A Crime! logo during the pre-match warm-up.

Hull City said: “We would like to commend the actions of those who have worked together in a constructive way to raise awareness of this issue, and at the same time thank the Football Supporters’ Federation for their assistance along the way. We believe the planned march to be a positive way of demonstrating the true feelings of thousands of fans up and down the country. We as a Club are proud to have such passionate fans, who we hope will continue to serve as great ambassadors throughout the day; not just for Hull City, but for away supporters far and wide as the national spotlight descends upon us.”

And make sure you all behave yourselves...

The club now expect only 400 City fans to attend the game.

Good luck to everybody attending this, the repercussions if WYP get away with this repeatedly and other police forces try the same are bad news for all football fans IMO.

    OSC Statement...

Saturday, 30th March 2013 is a very important day for Hull City AFC, Huddersfield Town AFC and their fans.

The eyes of the football world and, more importantly, the West Yorkshire Police (WYP) will be on everyone as the clubs play under the gaze of television for three very important points for both. Following the imposition of unwarranted draconian restrictions by the WYP and decisions taken over the policing of the game, the reaction of the fans will be closely monitored.

Hull City Official Supporters Club is united with the Huddersfield Town Supporters Association, Amber Nectar, City Independent, Hull City Southern Supporters and Tiger Chat in requesting all Tigers and Terriers fans, to demonstrate exemplary behaviour.

Please put your anger, resentment, frustrations, etc. behind you on the day of the game and ensure the day passes without incident and the good name of the two clubs is reinforced. Future actions and discussions on the rights of football fans must not be hindered by our failure to behave.

The banner will spell it out, “We are not Criminals”, let’s prove it to everyone on Saturday.

We want to witness a peaceful demonstration with our hosts who have campaigned tirelessly on our behalf and a day that gathers all the right publicity for both sets of fans.

This Hull City away day should go down in history as the time the fans said NO, the football world took notice, and we created a political will to change the way football is policed for the better.

The repercussions will be much worse if there's any trouble from the fans. Much worse for ALL fans I add too.

In a desperate attempt to keep me well away from Huddersfield, my daughter has arranged tickets for Cirque du Soleil at the MEN Arena for tomorrow afternoon and filled her fridge with beer and nibbles for during the game at her flat in Manchester afterwards, followed by dinner at a posh restaurant.

I think I should be safe, the policing of football fans in Manchester is relatively good.

If this fails it could be the day that football starts to go into terminal decline.I started in 65-66 and have seen some really poor games. When I analyse what I loove about football it isn"t actually the football. On the whole it is pretty sh*t.I lkie the build up/banter/football gossip and the tribalness of the whole thing.I love the fact that so many travelled to the night match at Hillsborough and we gave a lift back to Hull to a bloke whose mate had been arrested for drunk and disorderly by SYP for asking them to open some more turnstiles to try and get the crowd in before half time(he was the one with the car).
If no one challenges this decision it will become the norm or get even worse. There is a critical mass required to keep soccer matches exciting and imo we are getting close to a turning point.
Most atmosphere is now left to away fans to create. We would have been the main noise on Saturday.I do not personally know of anyone going who actually sings at matches.I will be truly gobsmacked if there is any kind of decent atmoshere in the away end.I would think the main noises in the stadium will be shouts of derision from the Udders fans who go on the march and find city fans in the ground.
What word they use to describe those attending will be interesting. Those of a sensitive disposition who have been upset by the inference of a label are advised to wear ear plugs.Still -free country and all that.
I have spoken to people who have booked and now changed their minds so hopefully turnout will be less than predicted in the stadium

    Shame on the 400.

An empty stand for a televised game would be the BIGGEST and MOST EMBARRASSING statement of all.

A sparsely filled one will make no ripples.

Agree with Cafe and Agro, a total boycott and a march would have had the best impact, shame on the 400 impotent flaskers who let us down the team can get the win without you.

We'll all be there at Barnsley.

    Sorry, but I don't agree.

I fully support the march and I hope it get loads of publicity and costs WYP a small fortune.

HOWEVER, I am concerned that the lack of support at Huddersfield could derail our whole season.

Why do you want/need make this assumption, is it that sense of being a superior fan?

Not sure what a flasker is, if you mean an older person then they have probably been supporting City a lot longer than you have.

I'm making an assumption that the 400 will be passive support, similar to what the West Stand provides at home games, those with passion feel more passionate about the unjust restrictions placed on us and are more likely to take a radical boycott view.

I have 40 years of fairly passionate support under my belt Chazz, and little respect for those with 50 years of passive West Stand/OSC/flasker/Dolanesque type support to be honest with you.

Original min.Totally agree-1965 I started and I cannot stand the pathetic bunch trying to justify their going to this match.Flasker seems as good a description as any and probably causes less offence than scab

I see you've been keeping up your scab nonsense; if I want lessons in how to be a complete pratt I will come to you, as you have it perfected. Always good when you have to scrape the dregs to keep yourself going.
