Since the vote has already been counted, it seems I'm a bit late with this. However, after a hectic week, I'll throw in a late vote before trying to get up to speed with some of the other threads! Best Driver: Button/Rosberg Worst Driver: For the 2nd successive race: Maldonado Best Rookie: And also for the 2nd successive race: Bianchi Best Team: Mercedes Worst Team: No doubt at all in my mind: Force India Best Overtake: Räikkönen on Hulkenberg. I do not agree with those who have voted for Vettel on Webber, since one was complying with team orders (and concerned about not finishing because of running out of fuel), whilst the other did not… Funniest-moment: Hamilton's deja vu Most Surprising Result: Force India's disastrous pit-stops Least Surprising Result: Vettel's arrogance Special Mention: to Rosberg for his magnanimity and Hamilton for his graciousness; both knew that preceding events meant Rosberg could have taken the fight to Hamilton and almost certainly have passed, but Rosberg's humility demonstrated enormous respect for the team who did not want to risk the points – or the PR disaster which has befallen Red Bull through the actions of one member of their team. And I say this despite being able to see things from Vettel's perspective. Race Rating: Analogy: this race had all the ingredients for a great meal; but competing flavours added by chef Red Bull left a sour and bitter taste with many. The aftermath was that diners leaving the restaurant were likely to become argumentative. Perhaps Taurine Cars suits only 50% of the average palate: 5/10.
Any numerologists here? At the conclusion of last season's betting game thread, I deliberately tried (successfully, as it transpired) to finish with £606 – but that wasn't a team effort! P.S. Best not spoil things by including my vote!
