Looking foward to tommorow's game. Hoping for 3 points to end the season on a high. On Meireles, if he's fully fit, i'd expect him to play. However, if he ain't 100% should we be risking him? And i'd also like to see Pacheco get a run out. He did well for Norwich so hopefully he can make a impression in this game (If he gets a run-out) and in pre-season.
reina johnson-carra-skrtel-robinson meireles(if unfit shelvey)-lucas-spearing(maybe coady?) kuyt(sterling to come on about 60mins)-carroll-suarez
-----------Reina------------ ----Skrtel--Carra--Wilson--- --Johnson----------Robinson -------Lucas--Spearing----- ----------Pacheco--------- -------Carroll---Suarez----- Meireles to come on for Pacheco in the second half. Kuyt to replace Carroll if he isn't fit. Flanagan to come on for Robinson and swap sides with Johnson if Young and Downing and running rampage down the wings.
Hopefully we can get the win and Birmingham get the win/draw. Or we get the draw and they get the win, either would do. And it's not out of the question by any means, Spurs have thrown silly points away this season, especially at home. But I really think that the loss to Spurs secured fifth place for them. Hope I'm wrong though. As for our match, there's no guarantee that we'll get anything from it, Villa will be up for it after their win at Arsenal and Darren Bent can bang in the goals against anyone. If we play like we did against Fulham though I think we should get the win. Maybe it would be better to leave Carroll on the bench and let him get a rest until the start of next season? That's assuming that he is dropped from the England U21 squad, which I hope he is. Having an unfit Carroll in the team seems to hamper us, as shown against Spurs, whereas having a fit Carroll in the team seems to make us more dangerous, as shown against Man City.
No. The stuff they put in the line markers happen to be made of some pretty heavy hallucinogens. He only left to play for Leeds because he was convinced Houllier had turned into a pink elephant and wanted to eat him.
Everyone is quick to drop Maxi then! Can see Shelvey getting a start myself, Pacheco an unused sub. My main prediction is that Ashley Young won't have a huge impact on the game and suddenly all our fans will say we don't want him, he's overrated etc or at least those that don't rate him will be unbearable (until he tears it up for us next season)
It's not that I don't rate Maxi (because he has improved immensely recently) but it's the last game of the season and I think he's the easiest guy to drop at the moment as he doesn't contribute to the game as much, just lots of goals occasionally.
Maybe Kenny will make a five minute cameo,Okay he's 60 years old,but he's still more useful than Heskey.
Hoping for a good performance today. Maybe 2-0 or a 2-1 victory for us. Let's hope Spurs drop points at home to Birmingham so we can nick 5th place!
