  1. Doesn't matter how much those players cost because that's in the past. We have to work with what we have in terms of both players and money.

If Suarez stays, how much do you think FSG will invest in the summer?

    #762
  3. They won't invest anything, they have made it perfectly clear that they expect the club to run off its own resources; something I am more than happy to see after the last owners.

How much will the club be able to generate without having had CL football? Thats the big question I guess. However, we have moved on a lot of the big earners (Kuyt, Bellamy, about to lose Carra) and have improved sponsorship / kit deals etc.

Also expect a few to leave. Carroll, Spearing, Pchecho, Wilson (free) and Coates seem dead cers to go. Reina, Downing and Skrtel are possibles too.

Worth noting that we spent £20m in January too. That's bound to have an effect on any forthcoming budget.

If Erikkson joins he may plaay an inside right role a lot of the time, Starting wide but running into the space behind Sturridge, with Suarez in a free role in the middle.

    -------Lucas--Gerrard------
    -Erikkson-Suarez-Coutinho--
    ---------Sturridge----------

We have a creative number 10 style on the left and it works well. The right side isnt near as good. Try the same on the right.

Suarez will drift wide, so Eriksson will end up in those areas any way.

If Suarez was to get injured we could really need a player like Erikkson behind Sturridge.

  5. Using that six, if Suarez got injured then we could bring Henderson or Allen in and make it a 433.

I agree. Or Borini. But if we had no Erikson and instead had Downing or Borini in that spot, and Suarez got injured, I wouldnt feel so comfortable.

Started a new one with Leeds because Liverpool was becoming too easy when I had Messi and Neymar playing for me <laugh>.

Got them promoted at the end of the first year, managed to get a few good cheap players.

Yohan Mollo was a good buy - mid 70s, cost me about 3m but progressed pretty quickly.
Emmanuel Rivière (78) was another good buy, again cost me about 3-4m in the 2nd season. He's about 24 and Mollo was about 22 when I bought them.

First season in Prem, very comfortable in mid table but really didn't like some of the players I was playing with. Wolves were in the relegation spots and offered me the job, so I decided to take it. Some of the players they have are immense, you wouldn't think it when they are like 75, 76 and 78 etc.. but I've won 5 on the trot including Man City so I'm now looking at a top 10 finish rather than relegation.

If you have the cash to start with then B. Siguardarson is a really good young player, the same with S. Zuber.

    B. Sako is another good player to mention if you're lacking a strong left winger, very traditional winger.

I hope so, I think he is a bit different to Coates as he has more pace and sheer strength about his play. A bit like Sakho for those who want to compare him to someone. Feel a bit bad for Coates but when you get bossed around by Matt Smith who is a league two player, it won't bode well for your future!

  18. Come on then who plays online and whats your ID?

PS...going bed now, will pick them up tomorrow <ok>

  19. Matt Smith has bossed a few Premier League CBs this season, most being better than Coates too.
