    ...John Polston scored a late goal v Aston Villa which put NCFC back on top of the premier league. Cue absolute delirium in the Barclay!!
    ManUre - the eventual winners, could only draw 0 - 0 with Arsenal <ok>

    If that doesn't warm a few heart cockles, I don't know what will!
    Well, it certainly WON'T be the Norfolk weather warming bugger all <grr>

    I went to the Carrow Road match, Monday night before Christmas and bloody freezing! I brought two Lincoln friends to see a good team, they (the team) let me down that night! Bloody 2 - 0 to the binners!

    I was in the lower Barclay! The only enjoyment was the non-stop chanting at you lot, "We are top of the league, say we are top of the league!"

    Heady days indeed, and do you know what, I genuinely believe that we can become a Top 6 side again. We have a sound financial base, a very good fan-base with a very respectable guaranteed home attendance and we are starting to be able to attract a higher calibre of player. Will we ever be able to compete with the likes of Man United, Arsenal, even Everton or Spurs over a sustained period? Realistically, no. But can we establish ourselves in the Prem and be genuinely competitive in every game we play? Yes, I think with continued robust financial management and a superb team spirit we can.

    Darren 'Black Lineker' Beckford scored a screamer from all of 15 inches in that game against Villa if my memory serves me correctly. Heady days indeed <ok>

    Bog off Welly, when do you think you'll be playing Prem football and signing an £8.5M striker then ?

    We could do that, but it would probably be better done on our board! <ok>

    Why don't you pop over and start such a thread if that's what you want, I'm sure that our lads would love to join in!

    <cheers>
