With most of the teams around Argyle playing today I thought it would be good to have a look at the run in to the end of the season so far.

Today I would say that virtually all the results were in our favour. I wish we had played because if we could have squeezed a result then it would be looking so much better. But, having had less games to play than the rest not too long ago we now have one more than them and we have moved up the table a few places. It all looks very tight down there though and there are a couple of sides I thought were out of the mix who have dropped back towards it of late.

I think Torquay have now recovered their composure and will go on to be safe. This week was massive for them. York almost have the look of the doomed about them. The odd draw is not enough unless they draw all of their remaining matches of course. Rochdale and Dagenham have plunged back towards the zone of late but I think one win for each and that might be enough anyway. I think it is now between 5 teams and I would be surprised if the bottom two were not made up from them.

We have a reasonable chance of getting away with it again but I'm not giving it anymore than that in case it turns out to be the kiss of death. If I were to gamble on it, which I won't, I would bet on both York and Accrington dropping. I think Barnet will get a couple of results but no more. I think we will do the same. What do you reckon?

I am slightly less suicidal than a few weeks ago but her indoors still has all sharp items hidden from me. It is going to be very close but if everyone keeps fit and ban free I think will have enough just.

Surely that doesn't include Chadwick I hope.

As I know where Chadwick resides then yes to the hiding of sharp objects but no to the injury or bans <whistle>

It's a funny old game isn't it? Last week most of the teams scrapping for survival did OK, this week less so....just looked at the remaining fixtures relating to the bottom teams.....you guys have some difficult fixtures but some upward momentum, Sat's game v Exeter would be a great one to win and would provide you with further self-belief (apologies for stating the obvious)....for what its worth I think Aldershot and York will be relegated.

    Good Luck

To be fair milton when you are down in the depths all games seem hard and there is never any guarantee who you may or may not beat. Even now most teams given a fair wind could beat anyone else in this league or just as easily lose. In previous seasons we have done better against upper table clubs than lower in and around us. This season so far not quite as well. We have only just been beaten generally by the odd goal but have lost nonetheless. Make no mistake that nobody at all apart from the terminally green tinted amongst us are counting chickens this time around. We are all hoping at best, praying even but not thinking all will be well without doubt.
