Would rather we spent the money on two or three players rather than one. We need depth in our team, as well as quality.

Would love to get Erikson

 

And snatch Alonso from right under our noses.

My bad. But still, would rather a summer where we bought two or three good/experienced players but at the same time young enough to improve. We don't need another top quality striker as we have Suarez (providing he stays ofc) but we will need someone else who can play up front, someone who will probably cost around 12-15m.

The defence and midfield needs more work on atm, I'd like to get Erikson and another top quality DM, then we'll need at least one other CB and a backup LB.

 

If you had asked me a couple of months back I would have said I wanted to see one or two top quality signings. However, since then Carragher as announced his retirement, Coates as been pushed out into the cold, Skrtel's spoke out like a **** and we've signed Coutinho. I also think Pepe will be off too.

As a result, I obviously want to see us improve the defence by bringing in at least one but possibly two CB's that are for the now. If Reina goes then we need a replacement but we need another keeper anyway as Jones is not good enough. We still need a DM to compete or play alongside Lucas, a LB to compete with Enrique and I think we still need at least one more attacker (Sturridge needs competition too).

That's between five and eight players depending on outgoings

 

You'll do well to get Erikkson considering you probably won't be in Europe next season.

 

Like when we got Suarez in when we what 15th in the league and no Europe the following season.....

 

Erikkson is a much bigger prospect now than Suarez and 3 years younger than Suarez was when you brough him.

He couldn't play though? Eriksen is a bigger prospect? Suarez was multiple years top goal scorer in the league and I think golden boot winner in Europe? Either way, up Everton. I win.

Should be a busy summer but how busy I think depends on who leaves as well.

I don't remember Suarez being linked to the likes of United or City at the time?

Does it matter if he couldn't play in Europe? the fact you were in Europe made you more attractive.

You've attracted the likes of Allen and Ince, not one of Europe's top prospects in Eriksen.

 

But would you not want to know the future tournaments that you would play in? We got in Coutinho who was a hot prospect and that bodes well for me at least in terms of we can bring them in. Think it also depends on the cash we throw at them.

We won't be signing Eriksen for two reasons; we already have Coutinho and we'll be blowing our load on Neymar

 

I don't think Liverpool can throw the same amount of money at Eriksen as other teams can. If Spurs are interested as suggested (and they probably are because you know they only have 20 midfielders at the minute) then they would probably offer higher wages.
If Coutinho was on a similar level to Eriksen I don't think Inter would have let him go so easily and for so little.

There might be, it wouldn't really make sense if there was though considering the difference in quality of leagues.

 

A lot of inter fans weren't happy with getting rid of Coutinho but then again I think they have some money troubles as well.

Still wondering if we will buy him as I feel Coutinho can play there. I would like to see another attacker and to fix some of our problems in the back.

 

Don't see where he would fit in your team either (even though he would definitely play). Gerrard and Lucas would be nailed on then who's left to fill the final gap? Allen (Rodgers bumboy and wasn't exactly cheap himself), Henderson (Would be a huge amount of money wasted if he doesn't get a chance to establish himself) and Eriksen.

Imagine if you've still got Downing and Carroll next year along with Allen, Borini and Henderson all on the bench. That is about £85m on the bench isn't it?
