Of course, the Binners had the original Dutch masters didn't they in Muhren and Thijssen. Muhren was pure class. Apart from Jurgen Colin and Dennis Van Wyke I'm struggling to think of any other cloggies we have had ?
Just been posted on the EDP website - Sporting Lisbon in talks with NCFC. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...h_city_over_striker_van_wolfswinkel_1_1988334
@carrabuh Now you've got to believe us, Now you've got to believe us, Now you've got to belie-eve us, The future's not dire, it's bright.
Raymond De Waard - a bit like KK. Tall, gangly and played on the left, hopefully unlike KK, he was bloody useless.
JR, that EDP story is the same one that broke yesterday i think. very very interesting Other good dutch strikers at the moment - Klaus van hunterlaar
JR, that EDP story looks like a re-gurgitation of the story yesterday. exciting though other good dutch strikers- Van Hunterlaar Van Basten
I'd forgotten about Develd and De Waard - I wonder why ? And Marco Ritgers who we had on loan for a few games ......
I only remember him because I saw his debut game away at QPR. He looked quite promising on the day with some good touches and flicked on headers but after that game he may well not have bothered, it was all down hill from then.
Back on topic, I wish this deal hadn't been leaked I find myself checking bloody NewsNow every 10 minutes for any updates. I'm probably going to be doing this until July if and when he signs !
Any danger of us spending £10m on Luuk de Jong to play with RVW next season! Love to see the two brightest Dutch stars playing up top for us wont happen of course but i'll be happy with one of them!
I'm excited but also somewhat despondent by the news. Part of me never wanted City to reach the dizzy heights of spending money at this level and contributing to the ludicrous nature of the current game, but once the cash is in the coffers, what else do you do with it? And the thought of increasingly better and more creative football at carrow road is fecking great. At least we got there without a rich benefactor, but the response to the news of wee willy winky makes me think we'd all be happy if a rich business mogul came in for NCFC
The silence form our club is deafening Let's hope it's not another hooper scenario. I think the risk is someone coming in with a bigger offer. But we will have our valuation of what we will pay
