Fair enough your not as bad as the other tosser, but neither of you seem to be able to just put your opinions without patronisingly belittling other people's taste.
If either of you knew anything about music you would appreciate that people are often most effected by the music of there own youth. Basically if you weren't there experiencing it when it was new and fresh you don't know enough to tell them it was ****.
Just show a bit of respect eh.

No not at that one as I am a southern softy...;-) but I think I have seen The Cribs play over 10 times at solo gigs and festivals over the last 6 years. He was great to see play live but I think the 4th album that he worked on was one of their weakest. My favourites are The New Fellas and Mens Needs. The Cribs are a great live band too.

    TOP BRITISH BANDS ?

Depends what era you refer to. But for arguments sake over the last Ten years only mine would be

Stereophonics - Snow Patrol - Coldplay - Kasabian.

But sadly nothing to compare with some of the All Time Bands since The Beatles and Rolling Stones.

Just by your posts slating everything about the Beatles it shows you have no knowledge of music whatsoever. Even if intelligent people don't particularly like the Beatles they will still acknowledge what they did for music as a whole. Musicians you are definitely not

Would Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars count? Only asking because Bowie himself can't be a suggestion...

It was technically a band - Bowie, Ronson, Bolder & Woodmansey.

ok Apologies to anyone i bothered with my comment on page2 , i never anticipated it to come across as twattish and condescending lol .
my point was it seemed everyone had listed the same bands from around the mid 90s and it felt like a list from the probably fictitious "now thats what i call brit pop 96" cd.

i suppose if everyone is listing them , then by definition they are the better bands :D and who am i to say what someone should like kisskiss

Can you please kindly **** off if you are going to keep disagreeing with other people's musical tastes and not actually contribute in a sensible way?

At least you added 'in my opinion' but that doesn't detract.

Maybe give us a good list of bands you actually do like, perhaps?
