Pretty easy for the Kiwis at the moment, but anything can happen in Test cricket. Good win for Pakistan v South Africa though today in the ODI series.
Not doing too well now either 160-1 - 52 overs question - why do the fielders throw the ball back to the wicketkeeper after every ball, even from the ballers end , ridiculous. surely not catching practice, more like time wasting.
The Australians started doing it about 10 years ago when they were really good so much like everything else they did at that time, everyone else copied them. Without throwing the ball back to the keeper after every ball we'd have never won the ashes and achieved number 1 test ranking. **** day for England, Cook must be seriously regretting putting them in.
To be fair to Cook, the majority of pundits, except those who beat their wives and bat with rhubarb, have said they would have bowled too as the tinge of green on the pitch indicated that it would support the quicks day 1 before flattening out into the dull pitch we've seen on day 1. Basically we have another dull draw on our hands, well played New Zealand you have to say, after the bumming that SA gave them preparing 3 relatively lifeless pitches was a good move.
If we don't get some early wickets today, then it could prove to be a very bad decision. We do have two inexperienced batsmen in at 5 and 6 and a potentially flakey last three. Hopefully or top order will come up trumps and one or both of the Yorkshire lads will do well.
