Mine are in no particular order though:-

    Life of Brian
    The Long Good Friday
    Get Carter
    The Italian Job
    Brassed Off
    Four Weddings and a Funeral
    The Full Monty
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
    Layer Cake
    Trainspotting.

Bend it Like Beckham is always worth a watch and the Carry on Films despite being funny will hardly go down as cinema classics.

The remake of The Italian Job wasn't really a remake of The Italian Job, it was really just an American shoot em up, that had a couple of mini's in it. It was crap compared to the original, but was at least watchable, The Wicker Man and Get Carter remakes were actually painful to watch.

Theres been some really great British films released recently, maybe not classics (yet) but I recommend Wild Bill/Fish Tank/Cockneys vs Zombies/Angels Share/Harry Brown- quite a few others too that are semi-decent like Tower Block with Sheridan Smith. Not sure why we are getting all these films made now in a recession but it's as good as I can remember for a long time.
