Le Saux urges Saints to fight off interest in Shaw: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...Saints_to_fight_off_interest_in_Shaw/?ref=twt

“He can become a wonderful player and, realistically, Southampton can’t hold players back and stop them from fulfilling their potential.

“But there’s a balance and it would be good to see them keep hold of their young players for longer than they have done in the past, which will help establish them in the Premier League again and attract more players.

“Southampton can’t compete with the biggest clubs but they’ve created a fantastic environment in which to nurture players.

It's interview time. First to navigate the 40 minutes walk in the rain, avoid the likely puddles and any mud, and attempt to remain as dry as possible so that when I turn up at reception in my suit, I still look smart. Challenge accepted.

Apparently when Nile Ranger was asked in court what his job was he said "Gangster".

Just imagine him trying to get on with Cortese, don't think Ranger would last long with his **** attitude.

    Kleberson, remember him?

I know, me neither. Anyway, he's just signed with Philadelphia Union.

Where are these "news" outlets getting £16.5M for Luke Shaw from? It's not like someone at the club has said we will sell him for that...

I'd happily take £16.5m personally. It would be a shame to see him go, but if someone offers stupid money then we'd be stupid not to consider it.

I vaguely remember him dislocating his shoulder against us.

While I agree for that kind of money and his current level of ability it would seem like a good deal but he could be worth a lot more than that in the future. I mean, think about it, he's already playing at a good Premier League standard and he's 17 years old - He's not the complete package yet but just how good is he going to get? I honestly think he could be world class. I want to see him develop as a Saints player and I'm sure the Chairman does as well, selling Shaw goes against everything he's said about holding onto our young players and using our youth academy as the core to our future success. This is a player who came out two months and committed his intent to sign a 5 year deal when he turns 18 in July. Hopefully we wont see a repeat of the Oxlade-Chamberlain situation.... if we stay up, I am sure that we wont.

£16.5m would be a very good price, especially as he probably won't fulfill his potential from being sat on the bench. £15m for Chamberlain looks very good considering he hasn't, in my opinion, improved much from when he was at Saints. If we got £15m for Chamberlain, then in theory, we should get £20m for Shaw. More potential and we're in the PL.

Me neither. At the rate he's improving, he could be one of the best left backs in England by next year, at 18; absolutely stupid money, or no deal.

Did anyone see tonight's Pointless? Dear me it was dreadful at the end.

3 MP's that don't belong to the Labour, Conservative or Liberal Democrat party...

    They went with:

    Lord Strathcliffe (?)
    Theresa Villiers (Conservative)
    David Jones (Conservative)
