No mention of MSC, oh well I will, GET IN, what a decision made at the last moment, right choice and I won't be surprised if people get ready to scoff on humble pie, because im sure Eddie Jordan already is.
Michael's strategy look quite good, but don't get too excited. Any mistake in a cluttered midfield, like in Turkey will ruin it.
Schumi has to be worried about kamuai on race day. He was looking to knock out massa in Q2 but instead was held up by a force India.
Very true mate, I have to keep this in mind. But I will be driving that car for him tomorrow, no mistake PLEASE Michael.
Manny has as much right right now to be optimistic about tomorrow's race as any of us. Only after it will we all sink back into a Vettel-soaked malaise. Put it like this: would you rather see Schumacher or Vettel on the top step of the podium?
Hope my optimism isn't pushed down into the gutter again like the last GP, lets hope he doesn't over-do it, his opportunity will come when the race pans out I reckon. There is a chance of a podium if he leaves incidents and penalties outside and makes the most of overtaking opportunities. Lets see what happens.
Schumi has a good chance of a deep into the points finish. He should start on the primes and go far into the first stint and should gain some places in the stops.
lewis wont be worried about the flat spot.he had the same thing happen during the race in china and still drove brilliantly.he's used to it.plus in his interview he didnt seem bothered by it. alonso did well, but he now has no fresh tyres for the race, plus he starts on the dirty side of the track.and with extra fuel onboard the ferrari doesnt look as good as it did in q3.
Lewis had no fresh options for Turkey but he still did well enough for podium, if it wasn't for the crappy pitstop. Same thing applies to this race.
I agree about the flatspot - it won't do much damage to Lewis in the first stint, and his advantage is clean side, and long run to 1st corner. About Ferrari, their strength is race pace - so I think they could easily keep up/ go faster than McLaren. As for Alonso on the dirty side, it shouldn't be too bad even with the long run to T1, but Alonso needs a good start and a confident approach to the first corner. No, he ruined his chances of the podium the moment he went wide in the failed overtaking on Webber. This is where he really needs to improve and use his brain and pick the right moment. As soon as Alonso got past, that was the end of his chances of 3rd.
True, but his car/tyres were good enough for podium which i'm sure you would agree with. (joking) What am I on about! you'll never agree with me Jose, you're a bloody Alonso fan like my damn brother lol.
I doubt he would have gotten Alonso. If the pit stop was normal he would have still been 10s behind. If he didnt go wide against Webber he would have had a podium!
The start is going to be critical. Should Red Bull have KERS trouble, they are ****ed - especially with such a long run to T1. Can anyone clarify: Vettel's car is in Park Fermé conditions, so what can Red Bull do to fix Vettel's KERS? In the race, based on the speed traps, the Red Bull's are sitting ducks on the straights - but it's unlikely other drivers will even get close enough, especially as they will easily pull away in Sector 2 and 3. You never know with race pace though. Mark deserves a win. Anyone but Vettel. Some good drives today - lets hope we see more good drives tomorrow.
Repairs are allowed in Park Fermé so Red Bull will be able to try and get Vettel's KERS working. Mclaren are not too far away from Red Bull in sectors 2 and 3, it is just the first sector in which they are getting destroyed, and for Ferrari it seems to be the opposite, equaling them in sector 1 and then loosing a lot of time in sectors 2 and 3.
I thought it was funny in the commentary today when Brundle suggested Webber had a 'trick' which helped him gain an edge on Vettel at Barcelona. I think it's just the case that he drives very well at the circuit.
Thanks for clearing that up Mifune. You could tell Vettel was pissed - which makes a pleasant change. When the team are fully behind Vettel, and Webber is finding it harder to adapt to Pirelli's, I think it was an excellent job by Webber to get P1. You could argie that lack of KERS cost Vettel, but I dobt think it would have effected the overall results.
