Agreed bow, if they sell him without hesitation in the summer they'll get the same treatment as H&G from the supporters in return.
Yeah, if he's sold they'd need to be buys of the last 2 decades in the summer to replace him or there'd be hell to pay. Said months ago, while he's playing as well as he is(weekend aside) there will be this story once a week in one or more papers until September.
Thing is Frank this speculation is based on his own words and not the putrid inner workings of a hack's grey matter.
The thing is it will be a huge deal so will drag on and on and will be the talk of the day (football wise) every day! This will be a sore one for me I think - I know Suarez is irreplaceable at the moment but how many millions will we have if he does go with Carroll? 60-70?? That's 3 downings right there
True. We picked Suarez up for 25 odd too. Would be hefty profit and sum to re-invest should be allowed to spend it. Hope he doesn't go but we have to keep going!
I know Page but I thought he said something almost identical about 4 weeks ago. Something along the lines of that he would always look at offers in the summer but he was happy at direction we're going. Suppose (thinking positively) he's just keeping his agent happy by encouraging the offers to be made. They still have to be good enough for FSG to release "their asset" What's the minimum you'd be happy to let him go at? We'd need to see Sturridge score a lot from now to end of season for me to be comfortable at anything other than 50+
Of course, no ones bigger than the club and all that - will just be a tough one to swallow. Players like Suarez get you places - surely we'd tell other clubs to **** right off for the time being?
50+ is fair in today's market and double what we paid, but unless all of the fee was spent on replacement(s) selling him wouldn't make sense. But buying The Ponytail for 35m never made sense either.
Should do but I don't know anymore I'm never far off extreme depression with our team in recent years. Nothin surprises me anymore.
