I dont see as the fuel really makes that much difference to the fastest lap. In the last stint of both pre & post fueling period the cars will have a similiar amount of fuel to get them to the end of the race and I would imagine in most cases that the fastest laps are set in the latter part of a race when the track is at its best, in fact we often get a late dash on fresh rubber when people switch from a 2 stop to a 3 stop. They cars are also on slicks now instead of the grooved tyres so traction should be better now?

I dont know really but is the answer purely down to the old V10's?

 

not to sure about the v10's. as red bull have shown its not all about straight line speed. there are a lot more aero regulations now as well so downforce is harder to get hold of. racing has changed now as before it was go as hard and as fast as you can,so on a green track you will just get quicker and quicker. you will also get into a better rhythm thought the race and also find more speed. 2 seconds tho is still a massive gap

 

Todays Red Bull vs Yesterdays Minardi would be an Interesting race (though I think the Minardi was only 1 sec slower than the fastest cars)

I have no idea whatsoever who will win this weekend. I suppose it all comes down to the weather. If it's dry, i can't see past a Ferrari (either one), if it's wet, it could be anyone.
