I think if we stop up then a few of these players will be out the door(if we can get rid) and I think I'll be another rebuild and stagnant season next season as well.

Vaughan believes the players need to look at themselves. "We badly let ourselves down with our passing in the final third against Norwich," he said. "We rushed it and the quality just wasn't there. That's our own fault and something we need to work on.
"There is pressure on us. You do feel it before games. It's difficult to keep confidence high. We put in massive effort but run out of ideas. We need a bit more imagination, that's something we've been missing."

You and Larsson being replaced would go a long way to helping bonny lad.
And I say this with no contempt, you both are Championship quality at best.

Oneill picked that team. N'Dayie for all his flaws would have dominated in the middle on Saturday. 4/4-2 was also a mistake. Both the gaffers calls

Vaughan has got to be one of the worst players,in recent times,to wear a Sunderland shirt. He offers nothing!I am hurting right now,as a fan....to me,most of our players should be hurting!Sadly, they are picking-up massive wages, and money is all they care about...no love for the club!!

Larson need to be on the wing or not on the pitch. We just don't have a central midfield. 2 new players are needed in that position for next season whoever is in charge.

I agree. Was talking to a workmate yesterday about Alfie N'Diaye and it dawned on me that I don't really know what style of midfielder he is. He's certainly not a defensive midfielder and his shooting/creativity is not good enough to be an attacking midfielder.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

He's strong has broken up play well and looks to move the ball forward. He makes some really intelligent runs forward but sometimes they dont get seen by our other midfilders. He can put a great cross in e.g vs wigan for Fletcher, he also but a great cross in against west brom. He's far from the finished article and his finishing is woeful but he's head and shoulders (not just in.height) above Vaughan, Larsson, Colback.

In time i think he'll be a very good box to box midfielder

    Cheers Parker <ok>

I've only managed to see him the once at the Madejski Stadium and thought he lacked composure. He was running about like a headless chicken at times, but I was impressed with his engine. He is a genuine box to box player, which is unusual for such a big lad.

I've got high hopes for the lad, but he does have a lot to learn. I think we might enjoy watching him develop into a descent midfielder at some point in the future ;)

I think with Catts back we would see a totally different N'diaye. Catts as the defensive midfielder would allow alfie to get forward more and with his physical presence could cause problems.
Hoping next season he is up to speed, has experience and knows whats required.
