Once again, Leeds United tops the table:

Top total fan attendance at away games 2012/13 in Championship:

    Leeds United 56,609 (avg 2,979)
    Not a Florist 41,964 (avg 2,209)
Shuffled on Wed 40,431 (avg 2,527)

Millwoe way down at 17,077 (avg 899, no really, less than 900)

Not really a big club, I know....

    <cheers>

Please do. You may also want to ask why a fan of a club that only has an average of just over 1,000 per away league game wouold even think of posting to this thread.

Do you think it is as many as he went to in the USA?

If that was my cup final, why was it in such a dump? <laugh>

    <cheers>

Good to see Leeds fans boosting other clubs finances <applause>

Shame the thick Northeners didn't think about the home games though - their cash strapped owners must be a bit annoyed that tin pot clubs like Brighton, Sheff Wed, Derby, Leicester, Forest, Cardiff AND Wolves all have bigger average attendances than them this season <laugh>

Well all those "tin pot" clubs, i assume are charging far less for entry to the ground, except Brighton, so Leeds will still be making more revenue from gate receipts, again with the exception of Brighton. However it does seem they have acknowledged they can increase average attendance and therefore extra support for the team for next season by reviewing ticket prices. Hopefully the increased demand will lead to higher income, despite a lower ticket price!

They need to do something - your average attendance since you've been back in the Championship

    2010/11 27,299
    2011/12 23,379
    2012/13 21,673

No wonder GFH want out sharpish <ok>

Be interesting to see if Sheffield Wednesday, stay up, sell one of their more exciting players (do they have any? <yikes>), increase their prices, what the impact on their attendances would be.

Valid observation other than it was a thick chap who grew up around your parts, as I recall, that has not thought of home game attendances.

Yes we are well aware Leeds are not a big club and its great to see you have been able to find a table that Leeds are top of. Congrats on that.

Here's an idea for you Jonny, post a thread when Leeds top a table that matters.

    The league table for instance.

Are you implying that Leeds current standing is due to the number of fans that you take to away games?

If yes then it's not doing you much good is it and you're in real trouble if you don't 'top the table' next season. <ok>

Considering we have approximately twice the fanbase of the "massive" Sheffield Wednesday, it's not that great. But then again, consider that they are still on somewhat of a high of getting promoted from League One, and we're on a downer as a result of bates "business plan", it's still quite impressive. A couple of seasons ago, though, our average away attendance was limited by the allocations we were receiving. I seem to remember we took 6200 to Coventry City.

For a one Club City the size of Leeds, that's actually piss poor. <laugh>

Hull is half the size of Leeds and is a one club city, what's your average away following? I imagine it's similar in relative terms. Either that or worse. Piss off you pathetic, Leeds obsessed little cretin, we're not interested in your inferiority complex.

Oh dear, pass nomark his dummy back, clueless tart that he is thinks he's a spokesperson. <laugh>

Leeds population 750,000. Kingston upon Hull Population 240,000. plus the 2RL clubs.

So given I'm not obsessed with Leeds nor a cretin and certainly don't feel inferior to you, you've kept up your usual standard of getting absolutely **** all right.<ok> <laugh>

Thanks for your wind up attempts, chaps.

The statistics are what they are.

I appreciate it is really hard to come up with a cohesive point when faced with cold, hard data and you have not disappointed.

All you need now is to convince the people of Leeds to follow the club too. <laugh>

You still did not answer my question mate, how many away games have you been to this season? You're raving over the fact Leeds have the best away following in the league, then surely your one of the Leeds faithful who rarely misses an away game, no? <ok>

    1) mighty offered to take care of responding to you and I accepted his offer,

    2) Your logic is seriously flawed,

    3) As I wrote above "why (is) a fan of a club that only has an average of just over 1,000 per away league game" "even think(ing) of posting to this thread.

Do you think it is as many as he went to in the USA?"

Note - items in () added now to make it easier for you to understand.
