I wonder how many times Hamilton will mention Andrew Benson in his columns?

Didn't realise LH could see into the future. Suddenly joining Mercedes looks intelligent. And they let him own a dog too, and maybe even wear shorts.

    http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1...have-done-even-better-than-fifth-in-Australia

    Interesting article.

Everyone was raving about how well Lewis did and what agreta result is was, but I actually thought they would have been dissapointed with 5th and also the gap to Alonso and Kimi! It will be interesting to see if it was track specific or trying to make a 2 stop affected their overall race. It appears they have 1 lap speed (of which Lewis has never been questioned) but I still feel that the race pace just isnt there and the signs of excessive tyre wear still seem to be lurking.

I actually think it wasn't tyre wear that was the problem it was that Merc just got the strategy wrong both cars did the longest stints on the Super-Soft but that made them think that they could two stop, the irony is that if they had worn their tyres out earlier then Hamilton would have got onto a three stop quicker and would have been a lot closer to Massa.

Given their history with tyre wear, I think it was ambitious and a little foolish to try for the 2-stop in the first place. But hindsight's a wonderful thing.

True, it was a tad ambitious, but it could have worked, just, perhaps Mercedes have learnt from it, so hey.

Nice to see Kyle beginning to appreciate Lewis's talent's, eh Max.

Not sure about Mercedes wear on the super softs, Lewis locked his outside tyre when he was scrapping with Alonso suggesting they were utterly shagged, but they ran them longer than anyone else.
