Nutcases that want us to win every game, sounds a bit familiar that! Pearsons history to me so don't really care what happens to him though a lot of our fans don't like him because of his dour approach and the way he left. The facts are though he is a good manager, probably too defensive for the kind of fans you mention that want to win every game and think it's the end of the world when you don't.
I think there's been many misinterpretations of what City fans dislike Pearson for. Everybody knows that he is a great manager, and everybody respects what he did for our club. He came in when we were in a very bad situation, steadied the ship and even in his first Season, we were close to the play-offs at one time before the end-of-Season slump. The thing that I dislike him a little for is the manner in which he left. He said he wanted another couple of Transfer Windows to get to where he wanted to be, and then left. It just seemed weird that what he was doing here looked so promising and when he was getting close to what he wanted, he left without even speaking to his players. I think I can remember some players saying that they didn't hear anything from him until we faced Leicester at the KC Stadium shortly after his departure. It's confusing why he did that. His 'cards-close-to-his-chest' personality made pretty boring interviews (which didn't really bother me) and his negative set-up at home annoyed some fans. However, any hints of dislike against him were wiped out when we beat them 2-1 at the KC on his first return. That was my closure. No more bitterness towards him, just some fans who seem to still hate him for some reason really.
Speak for your ****ing self. The guy needs to be sacked from Leicester just so he can get a reality check, he still think he's a decent manager. The only reason he was held in such high regard by some people here was because they were desperate to convince themselves that AP was making good decisions. That's why people bought the "we'd have been in League 1" bollocks, which was obviously NEVER going to be the case. The man's only achievement in football is winning League 1 on a Championship budget, how he, and anyone else, is still convinced he's a good manager is beyond me. First class ****, and I said this long before the ambitionless, talentless **** jumped ship to a smaller club.
He did a good job for us Tony, we were in a dire state when he came. You might not remember the 80's and 90's too well but without somebody like him doing a job for us we might have been back scraping around in the bottom leagues again for seasons. Like I said couldn't care less what he's up to, good luck to him we won't ever see him again so whats the point of getting your knickers in a twist about it?!
Nah, the whole "we might tumble down the leagues" thing was a myth started by AP to stop the fans calling for NP's head. It was never gonna happen. The point is, he's a man getting too much credit he doesn't deserve. As I said before, his only achievement is winning League 1 on a Championship budget. Now he's got a Premiership budget in the Championship and he might not even make the play offs.
I dont rate him. I think he will be fired no matter what. He will get a new job easily enough, some team that needs soemone to come in and steady the boat will hire him. Cant see any team who wants promotion bringing him in.
Charlton and Southampton didn't happen back to back. Wolves appear to have hired the only guy worse at hiring managers than AP. Complete anomaly. Now that that's cleared up. Is there ANYTHING at all that suggests NP is a "good" manager?
Could see him at a relegated Championship side in League 1 in the summer. Or could he fit the bill at Reading?? Steady there ship in the Chapionship maybe??
The type of moron who 'hates dour NP' is the kind of person who complains about the limited range of crisps on Tiger Travel and rushes down to hug Roary when he passes his part of the ground.
Very good that. I particularly like the 'Leicester play in a very 1970s nostalgic way' line. Coming from a Forest fan, thats comedy gold.
Who said anything about 'back to back'? We all - including yourself - said tumble down the leagues. Nigel was with us for more than 1 season.
He was a **** manager for us. He made watching city a chore. This was brought home to me one game when I looked up from playing angry birds and saw people reading the Hull Daily Mail! But what people seem to forget is the dersive snort he gave to when Burnsy asked 'on behalf of the fans' what his future was. He had no respect for us, the fans or Hull City , the football club. But at the end of the day, I don't give a blue monkeys toss what happens to him. He isn't our manager.
