McManaman has no action placed against him...

Bunn has his 1 game ban still in place when the ball hit his chest?

Strange ones those. Nothing to do with us, but just feel why look at the video replay? Newcastle must be fuming.

EDIT: Assistant manager charged with mis-conduct now.

You really could not make this up. The Wigan one was the worst tackle made in the league all season and it was'nt even a free <laugh> Im glad that twat Halsey has made a fool of himself and the fa by just doing what he does best which is being a terrible ref.

Easily the worst of the season and we have seen the likes of a Shelvey, Nani, I think Kompany, etc get reds for less.

Although it does remind me of the one Gerrard put in when he was really young. Where his cleats actually stuck in the guys leg. ****ing ligaments everywhere! Same with this one, really sorry for Haidara as this could seriously affect his career. Any apologies from Wigan at all? Nope, Whelen saying all is well.

This is the FA so nothing should surprise us. I honestly don't think the lad meant it to be such a bad challenge but that doesn't alter the fact that he nearly snapped him in half and it WAS a red all day.

Imagine if Suarez had done that...<whistle>

I really hope this lad reaches out to Haidara. Would be pretty scummy not to.

this forgivenes for "no intent" needs to stop. the law is supposedly for reckless challenges. that was reckless. the fact he's got away scot free only proves 2 things.

    the FA are scum

    and

wigan are in league with utd and are being protected... queue miracle recovery to a one point escape agai nwith this lad mcmanaman leading the way with 6 assists in the next 3 games.

He should be done for it to be fair.

It was a really bad tackle but the ref saying he didn't see it as a way to try and charge him after is bollocks. There is no way the ref couldn't see it.

If anyone should be charged it should be the **** ref <ok>

Especially the linesman. So inconsistent as well. Gotta say as much as the tackle, I really don't like Wigan's reaction. How can you not watch that and cringe and think what if that was your player. Whelen went to some twatty levels in his interview ( of course he had an interview about it to open his ****ing gob).

He should have been sent off at the time but the FA can't amke up bollocks just to track back now. He shouldn't be done retrspectiviely with **** excuses like the ref didn't see it.

It's trial by media. The ref ****ed up realised he'd ****ed up so played the 'I didn't see it card' . He can get ****ed. There is no way he didn't see it.

Poor tackle but even worse reffing.

  10. I think its getting ridiculous. Yes it wasa bad tackle but he didn't mean to do it, it was mis-timed! I highly doubt Callum is sat celebrating the success of injury another player. The lads had three days of constant **** now, get off his back!

Bad tackle of course, but it isn't baout him. Should have been a red, clear as day. Wasn't. FA should have done something about it.

So, apparently the reason the FA isn't doing anything, is the far linesman saw it and didn't flag. You know, the linesman 80 yards away <yikes>

  14. I was being a little naughty with my comment but there is a degree of truth in it. We have protected Suarez after his kickouts etc and we would have been ****ed this season had the FA acted on them all. I don't think we can have it both ways <ok>

What can they do ? The laws of the game is that if the ref saw it and didn't do anything then they can't neither - **** rulr but rules are rules.

Like I said it's the ref that should be done for this.

But they have gone back on that with the Thatcher-Mendes tackle. Got a yellow in the game, they watched it and came back with 9 games. Just consistency I guess.

It's not about him Gerrez it's about the farcical rules of the FA and how they are applied. I've watched it loads of times and I really don't think he was intending harm but that's got nothing to do with it. I've heard the same rules applied to Paul "aaaw he can't tackle but he's a nice lad" Scholes...and frankly it stinks. It was a ****e tackle and a red...end of <ok>

The rule is, and should be carried out as, not intent, or if someone gets injured, but if the tackle is dangerous or not. Whether Hadaira would've gotten up and played or been injured, it's a red card.

Yeah but FIFA have already said the FA can punish retrospectively even if it has been seen. It's their own farcical "if the ref saw it we can't act" rule which was ALWAYS going to lead to situations like this.
