Just out of interest (don't know if it has already been mentioned) has anyone contacted media groups / national and local Press to make them aware this protest is happening and the reasons why?
It would be a shame if the protest was well attended and the boycott well unattended but there was no coverage.

Edit; Found this but it's pretty much a cut & paste from the HDM article http://www.insideworldfootball.com/...n-of-fans-and-organise-game-day-protest-march

I'll send a message to Sky(though they presumably already know what's going on), along with a few others.

Sounds good. Are you or anyone else on here connected with the club to the extent that they can ask the PR Dept. to pass the word to their contacts in the Press and Media? <ok>

I'll have a word with our press officer too.

Edit - I've sent messages to our press office, Sky Sports and talkSPORT.

We've sold 300 tickets, which is more than expected.

Some of the details of the march may be changing, I don't know if it's police interference, or some other reason, but revised details will be advised as soon as possible.

The club have been trying to arrange for people who go on the march, to be passed tickets from the official coaches, should they also want to attend the game. The police have refused to allow this, anyone wanting a ticket will need to go to HMS, hence the possible changes to the march arrangements.

To be honest that's not really a surprise, if they'd said yes it would have left everybody who wanted to go to the game just needing to arrive at the ground at the same time the protest march did in order to get in, they'd be basically dropping the restrictions entirely.

Indeed, it also seems that there has been some crossed wires between the FSF and the clubs, re what time the march should arrive at the stadium.

5 pm!I will be pissed by then according to wyp intelligence-even though I do not drink(or eat pies)I could not knock the skin off a rice pudding but wyp prob have me down as a regular psycho.
WYP sort this out and admit you have made an error of judgement please. You will need to spend more money imo in any other solution. The guy in charge of this is emphasising why the government is looking to appoint senior officers from outside the force.
You have over reacted and need to back off-as you would explain to a drunk most weekends of the year.

Clearly the WYP have made a total **** up, that's left the with a bigger Policing issue than they started with and they'll have to deal with it under the glare of the international media and with their vision restricted by the egg stuck all over their face, so...can we think of a way that they can change the arrangements without being seen to be backing down?

The only one I can think of at the moment is to claim that, whilst all the details can't be revealed, with the cooperation of both clubs, Police forces and various fans groups, an alternative proposal that targets only the 'risk supporters' has been put in place so everyone else can attend as they wish.

It's bollocks, but the reality is it's less bollocks than the one wyp are peddling at the moment. The reality would be they'd do **** all because they've never really identified a specific risk group, so the reality is they'd do no more than they normally do on a match day, but it lets them look as if they had a point.

Anyway, I reckon Clouseau needs help saving face. Any other suggestions?
