    Official site:

Next month's Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland at St. James' Park has been moved back a day due to Newcastle United's progression into the last eight of the Europa League, it has been confirmed.

With the Magpies facing Benfica on Thursday 11th April, in the second leg of their quarter-final tie, it had been expected that the local derby - scheduled for two days later - would be moved.

And it has now been agreed that the fixture will take place on Sunday, 14th April with a noon kick-off. The match will remain live on Sky Sports.

Ticket information for the fixture will be announced on nufc.co.uk in due course.

    great.

Sorry but **** the europa league just play the under 19's - we won't win it anyway and we need to stay in the premier league.

No. Our Europa League campaign should be more important than one PL game.

The Estádio da Luz is offically called "The Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica" is commonly translated as:

    The Stadium of the Light

So basically, the mackems couldn't even nick someone else's stadium name correctly <doh>

How inconsiderate of her. Must be on the Mackem side of the family?

What is she being christened as? Anita? Gael? Sissoko?

Light in Portuguese is luz- where is that in Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica?

The stadium derives that nickname name a nearby church.

Why are some foreign stadiums translated into English? Barca don't play at the New Field. Real Madrid don't play at St James Bernabeu. Hmm funny that.

The new stadium opened in 2003.

The old stadium was named in honor of the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz ("Church of Our Lady of Light") and the people of Lisbon used to call it a Luz ("the Light").

The common name for the stadium became Estádio da Luz which translates to "The Stadium of the Light".

Re translations - who the hell knows?

Think maybe Cissy instead of Sissoko, seems it used to be quite popular in days gone by. Used for females called Cecilia.

Its always been known as the Stadium of Light. No clutching at straws will get you out of that one Indestructible. Your lot were so lazy and maybe a little numb they had to nick the name of another stadium ;)

Those claiming me and Boa are the same person will of course now burn horribly in hell...............
