Not after his abysmal, biased and bent performance at Anfield back in September when we played Manure. The bloke has been a ****ing liability since he came back from illness, and to even whisper it leaves you open to hysterical claims that you're mocking his cancer, like defending Suarez automatically made you a life member of the KKK on the Scum board. Well let me say it, as someone whose family has been decimated by cancer, well done for getting over your illness Halsey, but you were always a dreadful ref and now you're even worse. Go away and do some charity work as thankfullness for your recovery - and Man U are not the charity we mean.
Whisper? The abuse he recieved wasn't being 'whispered' http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-vs-manchester-united-referee-1341567
He was always a terrible ref and why they brought him back after he got cancer is beyond me, the guy should have been politely told to go away but I suppose it makes no difference when all the refs are clowns and they will just replace him with some other gimp.
Agree, poor ref, makes decisions on what he thought and not what he seen a lot of the time imo. But then most PL refs are rubbish so it ain't just Halsey
Where have you been? Austerity in Ireland I know but you don;t have to be austere with your not606 LFC attendance.
you make my point well. To criticise Halsey now leaves you open to comparisons with internet trolls. Exactly my point.
No, you were trying to make out that the abuse he took post the game you mentioned, wasn't vitriolic - when in fact it was. Halsey's medical history is irrelevant to his decision making on the pitch & it was a crass angle to come at, in trying to say he was somehow immune from criticism as a result of his past. As it stands he's always been a good referee imo, of course he's made mistakes during his career, but less than most. He understands the game & the players, unlike ****ers like Friend, Mason & Probert.
The thread is about him being a crap ref with a little bit on the abuse, or that Donga is not abusing him over cancer, you latched on to that cos you're a wumbag, now FK off
Ironic coming from you, Mr. "I'm leaving" oh no "I'm back on another account within 12 hours" As for derailing, until you turned up it, it was 100% on topic, dickhead.
Where have I said the abuse that he took wasn't vitriolic - go on, where? What I said is that he has always been a crap ref, and even other refs are now criticising his positioning and keeping up with play, let alone his decision-making; but you prove my point that to criticise him is to attract idiotic cries that you're giving him vitriolic abuse about his past cancer.... You say he's a good ref - fair enough, that's your opinion. But i ask you this, in all sincerity; was his mber performance at Anfield in September in the United game any good? To be fair, Lawrenson (a pundit who stabs Liverpool at every opportunity) agrees with you, whilst every other pundit in both television and print agreed he had a very poor game with his decisions very much favouring United. So, afterwards he DID receive appalling abuse about his previous cancer, from a handful of twats, which is ghastly. But it doesn't alter the fact that he was dreadful that day, yet only now will critics say the obvious: he is poor and has got even poorer since his (wonderful) recovery from cancer. So either both Poll and I are both trolls now, or perhaps we have different opinion than you on Halsey's abilities and should be allowed to express it without being accused of supporting the sick abuse he received about his cancer back in September.
