McShane's not in a good way.

Hard to see Paul McShane playing much of a role this season. #hcafc confirm damaged ankle ligaments following scans.

Hmm, has to be said I'm a bit of a Macca convert, he's done terrifically in the games I've seen him recently. Will be a miss, but I'm sure we've got enough cover back there.

Agreed. Sad that he got the injury and we shall never know what would have happened if McShane had stayed on the pitch. Sad if his season is over but at least he will have a new contract to sign and a PL club to play for next season. Get fit soon Macca.

Indeed. But Steve Bruce has been looking after Faye well since his last injury. Keeping him fresh and ready for the run in. Squeaky bum time needs experience and Faye will be just that.

With McShane now out I expect Faye to start alongside Chester and Hobbs @ Udders.

Plus Faye gives us an added edge from set pieces.

Massive loss, our defence has been shaky when he hasn't been a part of it this season. Definitely time to see what Faye can offer our promotion push, he started off well this season but couldn't handle the run of games. However, I think Bruce will stick Bruce Jr in defence and try Fathi in Bruce's midfield role.

I never thought I'd find myself saying this but, damn...

I think it's time to throw Faye back into the picture. We could use the extra set-piece prowess in the last few matches.

Has really been ace this season - well done Macca for this season's effort and fingers crossed for a good recovery.

Phil Buckingham is the best correspondent City have had for years.

He's attending all reserve games and big youth games and giving live updates from both.

    He deserves some credit.

He's been our best defender. Simple, no nonsense.

I doubt Buckingham writes the headline.

You really are clueless. Buckingham has been brilliant for City fans these last few years, and he's a top guy. He is fairly accurate and normally speaks what the fans are thinking anyway.

Gutted for the lad as he's a shining example of how to knuckle down and win people around, also making the most of the ability that you have. Hope he makes the quickest recovery possible as Faye might be well off the pace which means we will be relying on Bruce jr, might be a bit short at a critical time.
