What the **** is going on here. Foredeckdave is the latest in a lengthening line of long-term members to announce he's leaving. Get him PMd asking him to stay. We've got to put a stop to this asap. Has anyone got any ideas how to stem the flow?

If anyone has any ideas they want implemented, then the mod team will do all we can to get it done.

  4. Agreed, we need to get to the bottom of this.

I think this thread should remain serious and constructive too.

I am serious. Dave is too valuable a member to be allowed to leave. He's older than me and he's true Scouse <ok>

So tempting to wum the thread. <laugh>

I would say that if you are pissed off with someone or certain attitudes then use the OT threads like Music, Computer game, TV or the pub. Footy arguments get to us all as we are passionate about our club but at times I just leave the footy alone and go and have a chat on an OT thread until I feel like talking footy again.

That's pretty good advice. Thing is, those threads aren't that busy, and I obviously wouldn't go anywhere near the computer game thread except to slag it off.

Why is Dave leaving? He'd be a huge loss, I don't converse much with Dave in threads but I do read most of his posts and listen to a lot of posted vids on the music thread, many of his song posts let me relive my youth again<ok>

I hope all is well with Dave and hope it is being pissed off with some sort of bollox or other on here that has made him re-evaluate his presence on the board.

I've broached this subject re new member uptake and now it's attrition too.

No-one has left recently, maybe Shanks? but when we're not getting new members often losses are felt especially good contributors and we've maybe not lost some but they post far less than they used to.

Is this down the the arguement he had on the matchday thread ?

Not wumming at all but I think some people take this forum too seriously. If you don't like what someone says then ignore them or give them some ****, either way it should hardly impact on your life <ok>

BBF left but has come back. Shanks has left. There are others, and as someone has said, a lot are posting far less. Contscrepe seems to have gone from the united board as well. dave didn't give any reason.

To be fair, and not a wum, I don't blame anyone leaving the Manchester United board. It's terribly moderated unfortunately more so since Constcrepe stood down.
