    Yes!!

Just because someone hasn't supported us through the bad times and only now starting to support us since our new fund success is still a fan. I know of two young lads only 8/9 living in Birmingham, now their is a big catchment area of clubs in the Midlands, but they have shunned them and taken a keen interest in The Swans.

Now this may well be a passing fad as we know what kids are like, but these kids may well be our future. So I say let's encourage as many supporters through out the UK and further afield.

I wouldn't say I'm a plastic fan. More a 'synthetic organic polymer of high molecular mass' sort of fan.

anyone who supports our club is welcome,i am old enough to remember the dark old days of 3000 crowds,no young kids wanting to follow the club,my mates dismissing us as complete nonenteties....GET REAL all new supporter fickle or not are welcome, its the only way any club can build its future, more supporters=more money=a chance of success

<doh> typical dill and norway derailing the post with childish crap.......nobody is saying he cant be a fan but he states he supports someone else, now what part of that dont you understand.<doh> If he supports someone else then how can he be a full bred swans fan......god your making yourselves look stupid....I bet if i said that you can support swans and cardiff going to watch the swans one week and putting my red colours on the next week to support cardiff you would be up in arms......You are either a swans fan and you support them 100% or you are not...its as simple as that and if you cant understand that then there is something wrong with you....i like watching every game a can and any team but i would not be disloyal to the swans and say i was a fan of those clubs as i would be wrong.....swans and swans only or your not a true fan, its as clear cut as that.......now come back with your crap because if you say you can support another club as well as the swans then i give up as you will never in my eyes be a true fan and no matter what you say you wont convince me you are...

The only person being childish here is you Dai when you suggested that Norway and I aren't Swans fans. I've heard the bloody lot now, it's so ridiculous it's laughable

Football fanatacism is full of 'one-upsmanship'. If they can't get you because they've been a fan longer, it's because they live closer, or because they put more money in, or go to more away games. It's annoying and it's just an equivalent to comparing cock sizes. People can live their lives and enjoy whatever the hell they want (within the laws!) and I for one wont belittle anyone who does things differently to me (except maybe you Jacks for banter purposes).

Quick question for you Dai (and others with the same views). Say that Swansea, for some reason or another ceased to exist. Would you then support nobody? I think most people would gradually gain interest in another team and start to follow them more and more. At what point does that make somebody a 'fan' - a term that's used extremely loosely anyway.
