You appear to be getting a bit lemon about this. Arsenals back four under Graham didnt get like that by accident it took thousands of hours on the training pitch. Liverpools pressing midfield copied by Sacchi Cappello etc and teams got told to play a way enforced by the coach on the training pitch.

Peterbrough mentioned have very different players. When they got turned over they obviously had quick nimble players happily playing the ball off one two touches city don't really. city were bigger and more powerful but technique wise there was a gap.

Posh got beat heavily but still didnt change what they are best at. It would be stupid to attempt to play like that at this point. It is similar to doncastor years back. Hopefully a similar styel will appear here.

O'driscoll has looked at City close up and probably thinks they are not ready or equipped for what I have done before.

There was a plan saturday and bossing the football first half nearly worked.

    Plenty to support there.

    Lemon...?

I am fine with SoD in the long term as he will get us playing football again but we have all summer to get the drill right - meantime we are well and truely up the creek and will probably need 5 wins and maybe even another point now to survive so, we have no option but to try and cripple those closest to us

Up until Saturday, I was very confident we would get out of trouble, mainly by beating those near to and around us, games that we COULD win. That is my big gripe, Wolves were there for the taking and we did not impose ourselves on the game when the opportunity presented itself.

To me this is as big a mistake as Johnson buying Adebola when we were all expecting a decent striker to get us over the line. It's THAT important to us...

No, I am sorry but SOD is not doing it for me. The last four away matches without a goal scored by a city player is just not good enough. We will not stay up because of our home form. But we will definitely be relegated now because 1 point from the last 18 pts on the road is bloody awful. SOD is too scared to try attacking a very poor side like Wolves especially in the first half.

Down we go and it will be a very long time before we come back up.
OK now all of you can shoot me down as well.

Used to fight competitively ... Seen scared, felt it as well. Does not strike me the team are scared, or O'driscoll is either.

Quite like this O'driscoll got a bit of Yoda about him.

Could have done with a bit of that when I got my arse handed to me , "You've been trying that under previous coaches and needed DNA records to identify you get back to what we do in training and you will be ok."

    You trust or don't.

Doesnt SOD only have a contract to the end of the season / rolling contract so guess the board will then review things at the end of the season. Maybe we need SOD to manage the home games and get someone in to manage the away games given the current form.

Sean O'Driscoll has a rolling 12 month contract which should mean that either he has to give 12 months notice or if he joins another club they would have to pay us a sum to the amount of 12 months wages as compensation or the Club has to pay 12 months wages if we dispose of his services. Should we make the mistake as Forest did and sack him.

    That's the psychology.

EIGHT games left ... The only appropriate attitude right now is there is a top man down there running the show ... No giving up. No excuses.

I wonder how much of SODs words were intended for the players to hear rather than us fans.
The last thing a manager should do is rip into and smash any fledgling confidence that the shower are starting to show.

I thoughht everyone had grasped that one by now...

Hawk is quite right in what he says 0- another way of expressing it would be to say that when SoD wakes up every day, it is the start of a new 12 month contract for him UNTIL, someone says stop and THEN, he has a standard 12 month contract....

Christ sake don't get a job coaching you would destroy confidence of people with that attitude, kids would remember you for the rest of their lives. Time for all of that is after the season then you can go "I told you so O'driscoll is ****, the players are ****, tactics ****." Sounds a bit like the fat kid in school looking for excuses not to do something.

Get down there [maybe a bit hard?], have a few extra pints and shake of the inhabitions, sing a bit, do something because its better than moaning, does more than moaning and if enough do it maybe it gives the players a lift. One becoming two becoming three moaning and spreading an idea of its all over they are down is bit of a crap stance for supporters at the very points when supporters are needed most. I shall be giving the former a go, might make a tit of myself but have a go I shall.

Time for a bit of spirit in the fans. Bit of Gerry Gow instead of Morrissey.

    What would Gerry Gow do?

A man who never WON a single tackle. WON would imply some sort of competition or chance that he could lose.

That is what support needs to be.

Not much there to shoot down. You have stuck hope in a coffin and are shovelling the earth on top of it.

    No siege mentality.

    No glimmer of optimism.

Next home game maybe fans should dress in black and drown the place out in defeatism and negative vibes.

I will approach the day with a different mindset.

Lemon means bitter chief and you do come across as a bit bitter. You were relentless in your support of Mcinnes but are not of O'driscoll. It was not O'driscoll who put BCFC bottom. Something like 720 minutes left of the season now. Thats all there is time to get 100% behind BCFC because the club will be worse off if it goes down than it was in 2006/07. Its already pointed out you are obviously a bright bloke put some of that intellect towards urging positive support of the team when the club most needs it, lads elsewhere are.

I haven't missed a (home) game yet and don't intend to start now and no, I don't just sit on my hands and say nothing at the game - have also done a couple away but Blackburn away in the FA Cup was a trip too far....

Every one has slated him for putting us in the position but Derek McInnes has gone now, I am not dwelling on it and we've moved on....

As for Saturday, I'm not being negative, I am being ****ing angry (some might even say passionate) about the team I have been watching since the age of 7 - there is a BIG difference.

Why am I angry..? Like I said before, to not attack a team that was on its knees and remember had only taken 3 points from their last 21 at home was a MASSIVE BLUNDER and frankly, no better really than what McInnes would come up with...

When our championship status is on the line, WHEN WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO GO FOR A WIN, we go to a team that we could potentially put out of the running and come up with a rigid formation/structure which cannot be changed or upset under any circumstances, even if it means a chance of winning the game and giving our survival chances a massive boost and which eventually gave Wolves a chance to recover and cripple us instead

Our closest rivals on the other hand ARE going for it and, they ARE winning yet we on the other hand show little ambition to win the game but instead try and park the bus - do you realise that we only had 5 shots all game at Wolves of which only 2 were on target...?!!! - doesn't smack much of a side looking to escape relegation to me.

That is really, REALLY poor for a team trying to escape from the bottom of a very deep hole, AND JUST TO MAKE IT A BIT HARDER, WE TIE ONE HAND BEHIND OUR BACK INTO THE BARGIN..!!!!

THIS is what I am angry about, I'm still angry about it now and I will be for a while yet because we looked a gift horse in the mouth and, if we adopt the same policy at Derby, that will tell me that this manager wants to take us down so he can have a clear-out and start again. Either that or he has little or no ambition which is what they apparently decided at Forest...

WE HAVE GOT TO ATTACK DERBY, WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE....

Doing it again examining with a microscope O'driscolls performance which would not have put city in the bottom three over a season v anothers who did. Talking about massive blunders v another who blundered on for months. You are slagging the man who has clearly improved BCFC v another who turned the first team into a total shambles.

Citys form is better than some down the bottom and only marginally worse than others. Mid table probably in a form league about what it has been right through O'driscolls very short time at BCFC but you are slagging him right off. BCFC were getting caned on weekly basis under Mcinnes but no fierce critisism!!!

Bit weird this you do seem very bitter that YOUR man who couldnt at the end buy a win or even a team performance got removed for one who can and has.

No doubt you will use a lot of flowery words to turn this into my negativity actually is positive. Time for fans to go for it whatever that actually means.

Angry ... Smoke some green, get yourself straight.

Mcinnes went for it mind no wins in ten eleven?? Three points out of thirty?? Doesn't smack much of a side looking to escape relegation to me. Little or no ambition there. Must of wanted to get relegated to have a clear out starting with himself. It was Mcinnes formations of choas that put the club in this hole. Comedy stuff.

It is O'driscoll who has given the club a chance and that will be my side.

Doesn't matter what I say does it, anything that is even vaguely critical of SoD goes straight back to to my support for McInnes cos I'm "lemon". Seems ironic that I'm not the one harping on about him and in fact, all I did was do exactly what you are doing now, i.e. supporting the manager in place...

So, no fancy words, no spin, I'll spell it out for you - I don't give a **** about Derek McInnes, he is no longer anything to do with the club. All I care about is Bristol City Football Club and in particular, NOT GOING DOWN THIS SEASON (if at all possible).

Also, I will say (AGAIN), that I am in favour of SoD to bring good football back to this club

Is that clear enough for everyone...?

HOWEVER, when I say, not go down "if at all possible" this of course means that GIVEN OUR CURRENT POSITION, we really try to win as many of our remaining games that we can realistically win, Wolves was one of these.....

I will be there every game to the end of the season and I will get behind my team in a positive manner but this does not stop me having an opinion (just like everyone else on here) and frankly, I really don't give a **** who the manager is whether it be Ferguson, Mouriniho, Mancini, in our situation, I will be critical if I think we didn't do ourselves justice and 2 shots on target all game and trying to defend when we all know that we can't defend for **** away from home, was nothing short of criminal...

So go on then, lets see who flogs the McInnes dead horse again....
