Watford gets fined for their questionable method of trying to get promoted, but escapes points deduction. Yet we over spent to try getting into the CL nd we get punished twice.
    Am I being unreasonable?

Wrong. No fine, no points deduction, and it has nothing to do with anything that we've done this season. It's all to do with our dodgy ex Owner who has now been banned from having anything to do with football for three years..personally i think he should have had a lifetime ban.

Nice try though. Would be good if you knew what you were talking about lol.

I don't know all the ins and outs, my initial reaction is that they have escaped pretty lightly, my deeper thought is what if Ken Bates is found guilty of wrong doing in the future, would I feel it was fair if we were punished.

On a totally different note, it won't make a blind bit of difference to us, it isn't going to cost us a place in the Premier League <ok>

They are being punished for gaining sporting advantage. It's irrelevant if its the old or the new owner. So I think it's you who is in denile and probably don't understand the situation. But you are getting away with it and good luck.

Why would Watford get punished for bending the rules when no rules have been broken?
The FA wouldn't have a Pistouros of getting away with that <ok>

FA should be asked why they are letting businesses with connections to goverments of Countries that are killing its own civilians be allowed to own football clubs in this country - far far worse than what Watford have done legitimately <ok>

Didn't Luton get hammered and put down two divisions for their previous owners breaking the rules.

I'm not saying Watford should be punished heavily, but where is the consistency?

No they aren't. They are being "punished" for failing to submit paperwork to the FL on transfers when Bassini was in charge. It is nothing to do with the loans from Udinese etc.

When I say punished, that is an exaggeration obviously. Having a transfer embargo until end of August when they have no intention of signing anyone, but they still could if they wanted to anyway is not a punishment

If you care to take the time to visit the Watford board you'll find a link to the fa ruling...that might make it clear to you. You will find that the owner who was charged is hugely relevant and that the club have been found to have done nothing wrong, since they had no idea what was going on. :)
