Just looked it up.... Both teams were given an allocation of 30,000 seats (which equates to 60,000 seats in a 76,000 stadium so there would still be empty seats form those tickets not allocated). Blackburn sold out only 23,000 seats leaving 7000 spare while we sold all ours out. This coming from a Man United forum which has the stats. It clearly wasn't us who had the unsold tickets like you say but it was Blackburn who didn't sell them out.

Oh and if it were us who had the empty seats... 8000 isn't half of 31,800 is it? A slight over exaggeration there don't you think?

So I repeat... in what game did we only take half of our allocation?

hmm a tricky one.. right now i can't afford the season ticket & travels, but if i can afford it, sure £10 will not make any difference .. remember it didn't made any difference for other fans coming all the way from the north , and which top clubs at the north returned their tickets before?

yepp just google it .. it was all over the news .. and chelsea fans dare to call UTD fans the plastic one .. now they brag about they have 2nd best fan base after UTD and the double of Liverpools ... the QS is where were they in 2007?

Actually shwan... I owe you an apology... (grudgingly). We had 7000 unsold for the semi final against Blackburn out of a 31,800 allocation while Blackburn had 10,000 unsold! I went to the game and tbh I'm not sure why we didn't sell more.

BUT if you look at our away attendances... we have been one of the best in England. This season we have sold out every home game apart from Southampton (due to tickets going on sale about 10 days before the game... short time notice etc.) and we have sold every away game apart form Sunderland where we took 2800 instead of the 2900 allocated. The fact is... both United and Chelsea do have plastic fans due to their success. It's why I do more away games than home ones. The plastics and tourists turn up at the Bridge and it's a shoite atmosphere while away we are class... one of the best in England. United do have a big fan base in the home counties of South East England but obviously a core support base around the Manchester area...

Resepct <ok> tbh i have no problem with chelsea and never call you plastic fans if it wasn't for one of your fans calling us that here
but as you said, in every club tbh there are some real fans and plastic ones .. I just felt labeling UTD fans exclusively as the plastics one was unfair .. more when our fans who attend UTD games are in majority those faithful ticket holders since long years who pay their hard earned money to support their club .. yes UTD did increased their fan base around the world like Arsenal or chelsea, and you may have an argument if we argue from that side that UTD by default is carrying more plastic fans who are supporting us bcz we are doing well.. but sure calling those who are from Manchester and attending UTD games since years, generations after generations and labeling them as plastic fan is childish and silly

according to polls done by property website Rightmove.co.uk in Manchester, 14.8 % support city compared to 55.6% who support UTD
and that is another myth which is not true ..

wish you best of luck mate

That poll is bull, only people that live in Manchester or have spent time there can give an accurate opinion.

It's well known that in South Manchester, City are the predominantly supported team, just like in South London, Chelsea are the predominantly supported team, same with Arsenal in North London.

What is factual is that 62% of City's fanbase live within 10 miles of the Etihad, there is simply no way that is anywhere near the case for United and I say that from experience not myth.

NLD is shaping up to be a massive game.

Chelsea play City the same weekend and if they lose at the Council house and we beat the Spuds then we could reasonably set our sights on third again.

Chelsea play City in the next round of PL fixtures, and we face Villa at home in that round of fixtures, not Spurs. So, could be a great chance to make up some ground on Chelsea.

    <ok>

I think the Chavs will drop points at City and I think we will beat Villa. Spurs play West Ham ? so they probably should give Fat Sam's a spanking, but you never know in London derbies. Either way, playing the spuds gives us a great chance to make up some ground.

I still think it will come down to the NLD. We win and I will expect us to get 4th and they win and I'll expect them to get it. Of course this is football so anything can happen, but that is what I will expect.

So, even having thrown the NLD away, we still find ourselves with a game in hand to pull ourselves up to one point behind the Spuds, with them arguably having the more difficult run in.

Did a prediction table with my mate a few games ago.

    I had it as:
    Chelsea 73
    Arsenal 69
    Spurs 69
    L'Pool 61
    Everton 60

After 3 or 4 games each, its now:
    Chelsea 73
    Arsenal 70
    Spurs 68
    Everton 61
    L'Pool 60

Fulham: That's based on the 2-1 defeat and 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage in the last 2 seasons and Fulham having a fairly decent record in London derbys at home.

Utd: If Utd really needed the win i'd fancy them to get it but they don't. However SAF won't take any defeat to Arsenal lightly (and they've mainly owned the fixture lately) so i fancy a draw.

    I'll probably be wrong mind!

I reckon you might be right about the draw against Utd. But I think we'll beat Fulham.

If Arsenal continue to play Koscielny at the expense of Vermaelen then my money would be on you getting 4th. I've said for 2 years to Arsenal mates that Vermaelen was the weak link but they were having none of it. I think Wenger is starting to find out who his best team is and sadly that doesn't include Vermaelen.

Fancy Arsenal to beat Fulham but lose to United. Still think if United are on song you won't have an answer to them but I expect you to beat Fulham by a couple, their result yesterday was flash in the pan and they are devoid of qualify in many areas. Arsenal have the weapons away from home to break them down whereas Spurs didn't as Bale had a poor game.
