3rd with a game in hand over Spurs - 4 points off City. Europa league and Fa Cup their for grabs. It's a funny old game innit?
Not sure it is Coco that is doing this, but a realisation by the players that they have had to start performing for the club and their own pride. Knowing that FSW is going at the end of the season has had a positive effect on our performances of late.
think it's a mixture of this and the fact that fsw said he isn't staying beyond this season giving him a bit of leeway with the fans. atmosphere has been much better as mentioned previously.
Well... a great weekend! Moved ahead of Spurs with a game in hand. Still 5 ahead of Arsenal. Only 4 behind Man City. That second half at United may have just sorted our season out as we were brilliant today. 2 goals did us no justice. Hazard is awesome. The whole team looks confident. We're in a Europa League quarter final and an FA Cup one as well. 3rd in the league. Gotta love footie
We have been on such a roller coaster ride this season that I'm not gonna get excited yet, but oh how a couple of games can change things, even looking up at 2nd place instead of 4 atm is good.
It's very tight and a bad couple of games can change everything very quickly (as Spurs found out these past 8 days). However it's better to be ahead and we're probably in the best form of the 3 as well. Our disadvantage is we have more games than anyone to play before the end of the season.
I was a bit slow there lol. But as I said in my previous post to that 'I'm not gonna get egg sighted yet ' so no I'm not counting my chickens, and you all shouldn't have been counting your cockerels in the last couple of weeks either
If we'd even drawn against City IMO we'd be comfortably above them. I've no idea how we aren't, they are average this season and will continue to be so whilst Mancini is there.
