Wow, I went over to see my mate tonight and hopefully just have a couple of drinks, but it turned out his girlfriend was hosting a party for her younger brother, and so I spent most of the night being hit on by drunk 16-year old girls (turns out they like older guys, who knew?). Once they'd all gone I was glad to see the last of them, but now I come home and they're all on here!

...give it a couple years; the age-which-you-find-intolerably-annoying bar will rise, and then you'll feel sad that university freshmen girls that you'd have sliced off a finger to be near a decade before suddenly have more interest in you than you do in them, which is to say any.

 

I dunno if she realised it was angled at more than a date than a usual meet up, she may have been able to guess from the timing, but she might think after asking her out about a year ago, I'm no longer interested, or she might know that I'm interested in her. She's a third year though and it being the last few weeks of the Easter term and with final exams coming up, I don't doubt the sincerity of her being busy and I wouldn't want to get in the way of her studies as it is coming to a crunch time.

Not quite. I was 19, she was 32 and a rep for another holiday company. (I was working for Sunsail in Greece)

I'm a bit nervous. I'm working as a temp and tomorrow I have to tell my line manager that I have an interview for a permanent role on Friday and as much as I do enjoy working there, as it's a temp role I do really need the job security that comes with a permanent job, especially as this temp role is due to end in April and I have no idea if they'd be interested in extending it. I'm worried she'll get angry and fire me on the spot....

 

Doubt it, because then they'd be one body down. Anyone would understand the need for a permaent job...you never know, she might offer you a job there. You are a worry wort aren't you?
