Piers Morgan's prediction was even worse. 'Sunderland battered them away so will batter them at home too' Wasn't that the match where we were unjustly forced to play most of the game with 10 men? And wasn't the score 0-0 when it was 11 vs 11?
Yes. We played with 9 for a periods too, due to injuries. Speaking of which, that was the game Kaca and Ruiz got injured in too. Probably the worst game of this season, if not for the performance. Morgan really is a hateful **** isn't he?
I remember it was quite a good performance by us, didn't we have something like 20 shots to their 10? Just an awful referee decision that took the game away from us. Oh piers Morgan is the worst. Great example of an armchair fan. Happy enough when his team is winning but the minute things start to go wrong he's calling for heads to roll. I think Wenger's time is up at Arsenal but he deserves far more respect from such a 'long term' Arsenal fan such as Piers. He doesn't have a clue about his own club let alone football in general.
Wait until we stuff Arsenal at home and then he can talk... TWAT!! Against Sunderland we should have won even with 9 men... It was our last great game before confidence, system, etc were lost...
Let's not forget he "banned" Fulham fan Hugh Grant from his show for being "a tedious little man" in the wake of Grant criticising tabloid newspapers after the phone tapping scandal. Thank you America for taking Morgan off our screens!
Or the fact that we had 3 injuries and were down to 9 at one point. Frankly, Sunderland were very lucky that day - but were actually awful.
Usual lack of anything sensible to say about Fulham....Hardly worth posting..... Tottenham played well for an hour at Anfield and looked the good side we know they are. But losing against Liverpool makes this a big game for them, especially coming after a Europa League trip to play Inter Milan. How they bounce back is important and, in terms of what shape they are in for a top-four finish, this game will tell us more about Spurs than a narrow defeat against Liverpool did. Fulham are in decent form but they are not great away from home, and I can see Tottenham passing this particular test. Lawro's prediction: 2-0
He must have Fulham aren't great away from home stored on a hot key so he just presses f1 and inserts it. Saves the effort of typing it 19 times each season.
Tottenham had to work hard tonight, plus this is the time of year when Fulham traditionally gets a surge, so if Riether can contain Bale, I could see Fulham getting a draw.
Riether will likely be up against Sigurdsson with Bale in the middle, moving to the wings at times but mostly looking to get at your centrebacks. Before the Liverpool game Lawro had predicted us 0 wins in the previous 7 games picking up 4 points when infact we were unbeaten in that time and got 14 points. QPR are also above us in the league, it's really pretty disgraceful when you think some of our license fee goes toward paying Lawro. Most importantly from a Spurs perspective both Lennon and Bale will not be tired from the game last night but I do worry about what line up AVB goes with. Lloris, Dawson and Benny all played not part so should be fresh for Sunday too but Walker needs to be cordoned off as a disaster area these days, I worry AVB will stick with him. Dembele and Parker may be feeling the effects of the midweek game too which is a worry but Dembele's in great form and Parker can always be subbed off if he tires. I still think we'll win as I don't think you have enough raw pace to exploit our weaknesses but if we play like dicks again we'll be lucky to get anything.
And that "Pointless" Fulham fan, Richard Osman, please log in to view this image agrees with the Bollock - 2-0 to Spurs he says! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21784836
The Cluckers have defied the odds and the pundits. New to the prediction game Hugo Rodal-egg-a has gone for a Fulham win. COYW
Agree on the pace issue- we are such a slow team breaking forward. Dembele seems to be up and down- I didn't see your goal in Milan to get the aggregate win but I read he had a part in it, during normal time he didn't look great and I'm fairly sure he conceded possession for Palacio's goal- he didn't often do that before. Still a class act though, I suspect our players will fear him as much Bale. I think we will go up early but Spurs will get the win eventually- I expect a strong first half from Fulham and then a nervous disjointed second. Is Dempsey getting a look in?
Note for the hero of this thread..... Yes we have a player called Berbatov - He scored today, in a thorough TEAM performance (Schwarzer included). Yes we lost Dembele and Dempsey - Both were ineffective today, playing just 67 and 45 minutes each. Yes we don't win away - Actually 3 wins and 6 draws out of 15 away matches is almost becoming respectable. But.... No our hero will not write anything positive about FFC in the next match against our table-propping neighbours (forgetting the he's had them as a mid-table performing team all season).
