I think we'll stay up just, but we need a major squad rebuild in the summer defence/midfield and up front.we have possibly the slowest back four in the league except for rose and he's not ours, midfield slow only one who looks to go forward is vaughan and he can't get on the pitch and for wingers they have give the strikers no service but chin up and keep the faith

MONs teams always had pace. lets hope come summer he signs players with pace AND vision.
Midfield is garbage. Sick of watching teams (any teams) play better football and have pace and actually look like they know what they are doing. Most of our goals are usually decent worked goals but we have to put up with a lot of crap for these rare moments

We won't go down, but I have to agree that our midfield is woeful, we need cattermole back asap

No. Villa winning yesterday has helped your cause. QPR needed a win yesterday to launch any sort of assault.

This, let's hope it's a north east double today, and virtually guarentee safety, for both clubs. Qpr losing yesterday was a great result for us

You'll be fine, the issue is what you do in the summer to change for next season. Newcastle were shocking but got in a bunch of new faces who, mostly, seem to be seeing us right. I think without Europa we'd have a handful of points more and be in the top half so I'm not worried for next season as such (though still a touch worried about the end of this one).

Sunderland just look weak in some key areas. Solid but unspectacular defence, lack of creativity in Midfield (sess aside) and an overall lack of pace. I don't think you have many players which scare the opposition so teams go to SoL thinking they can frustrate you.

A couple of good signings could transform you though.

If we don't win today it's going to be tight as god knows when the next one will be. If we win we will be OK.

Very, very possibly. If we stay up we'll be very lucky to do so. None of our players look interested in changing our fortunes, bar Gardner...and only 1 or 2 have real match winning ability, including the keeper.

Can't see where the points will come from, I really can't. If bards & catts come into the team we might have some fight?

Agreed we have no fight/whil to win the side. They seemed afraid to attack.

The only points I see coming are from Stoke and maybe Southampton. Even the not606 regular Stoke fan Potts would call us the worse team after the dire they have served up (away) this season. Will it be enough? I don't know but we look a team lacking in everything and even Mon's body language told it's own story. It's not the Mon I remember as a manager so maybe others were right, 10 years to late..

I think that any more than 8 games then we would be relegation material, i think that with that amount of games we will be safe......JUST.

Two weeks ago I thought we'd easily stay up , after the last two games I'm starting to think otherwise.

    Hope to **** I'm wrong.

If we couldn't win today why would we be good enough to beat anyone else? Would have to be a massive uplift in form. I just can't see this team beating anyone.

My honest opinion is we will get 0-1 point in the next 4 (United, Chelsea, Toon, Everton) and during this time the teams below us will be picking up points.

    Soton - 5 points
    Villa - 4 points
    Wigan - 4 points
    QPR - 7 points

We could well be in the bottom 3. That said we play better against good teams - Chelsea have a hectic schedule and united have nothing to play for. We never beat the mags or everton. We need Cattermole back asap and Danny Graham can get back on the bench, he looks like babmi on ice atm. That wigan goal was the cherry on a **** weekend.
