Sigurdsson replaced by Defoe. Does that mean Bale out wide?

  2. I cannot understand why, suddenly, we are playing like a bottom-of-mid-table side! We look truly dreadful. Away, this would be a bad performance, but at home it is utterly unforgivable!

It's not merely one player, it's the whole team, which makes me seriously question AVB's abilities to set the team up properly, or to adequately prepare the players. This is the kind of performance that got him the sack at CFC.

Fulham pinned back since Defoe came on. Carroll coming on soon.

I think a lot of us had feeling how this would pan out...

Chelsea are 1-0 up with Lampard inevitably getting his 200th goal for them against his old club.

That's better. At least Defoe tested Schwarzer.

We always seem so fragile to teams that defend deep...we lose all our urgency.

Well I think if we ever needed confirmation that we're in a bad run, this is it.

With Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton all winning (I'm assuming Chelsea will win), it's been the worst possible set of results so far.

It's understandable that Fulham are time wasting, but the difference between how ours was treated on Thursday and this is pretty blatant.

Nice to see the crowd encouraging Carroll's passes, even when they don't work out.

So many players off the boil today...we've been out thought and out fought all over the pitch...i honestly can't see us getting a thing from this.

Can someone explain the benefit of having Dempsey on the left and Bale on the right? We look so unbalanced and narrow. Is AVB blind???

You, like the rest of us, will watch as Bale leaves, taking with him all the progress we've made over the last 3/4 seasons.

Bale seems to be playing as a holding midfielder and Adebayor's on the left, from what I can see.
Dempsey seems to have just disappeared entirely.

The concerning thing is that we don't have any creativity and don't look like scoring at all.
