Anyway, it could be much worse. We could have Brad Jones in goal <laugh>

Players should get credit too because they were tired, I don't know, when you're there live, and close to the pitch, you notice it more, I could tell in first half the players were looking heavy legged still from that Munich encounter, Wenger even mentioned it, makes the win more impressive because they had to dig in, in the first half I was seriously telling myself that I'd take a point, and that it would've been a good point as well.

That's what I'm thinking.....But it may not be our choice, Flappy might just decide to leave us as his contract is up.

But that's a problem too, let's say he signs a new contract, and becomes our number 1, and then suddenly his form drops and we see he's not that special, but average, this has constantly been happening with us, GK comes into the team, shows good form, then starts fading, though to be fair to Flappy, I think his last run ended because he injured himself and has been plagued by injuries since then, but even before he got injured, a lot of people were clamouring for Shezza to be our number 1 because of all the good reviews he was getting and because Flappy wasn't doing so well.

I thought Flappy was playing well when he got that major injury a few seasons back, he looked like he might have been our number 1 keeper, but then he got injured before the ManUre match, and Chez came in, and never left.

Both our left backs have now scored at Swansea, Monreal, and Gibbs. :-D though Gibbs' goal was better, :-D.

The single most annoying thing sir ches does is , when we are winning and theres like 2 minutes left he STILL hoofs the ball up the pitch straight to them , you think to yourself " what the **** are you playing at you moron "<steam>

He needs a clip round the ear that lad.

Missed the game live, but just caught the highlights on MOTD. Looks like Cazorla was the main man, and nice to see OXO getting involved again, unlucky not to score with two great efforts that rattled off the cross-bar. This was a massive win, from our last ten games, this was one of the hardest for me, but we have got the 3 points. Also, keeping a clean sheet away to Bayern and then Swansea is one hell of a turn around from the defence. That ten day break we got after the defeat to Spurs has worked wonders for the defence.

    Some thoughts on the game:

Bosscielny is here to stay, solid game. Nacho is not going to make it easy for Gibbs. Giroud is still a donkey, I want Podolski tried up top, or Theo again. Gervinho, I thought had a decent match, but I still would rather not see him on the pitch anymore. Just too poor a finisher. LUKASZ FABIANSKI...keep on earning those starts man! I dont care who we see in net, as long as the clean sheets, and the W's, keep on coming :)

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup: "In the first half both teams played very well. They had a couple of very good shots from distance with Oxlade-Chamberlain having both of them."

Koscielny has got such great recovery pace. There was that chance for a Swansea player and he made so much ground to put their player off and he ended up missing.

I think Nacho is unexceptional but defensively he makes some tough situations look easy.

I'm always looking at him through the lens of "what would Gibbs do?", and I could see Gibbs being on the back foot in some of those defensive situations. He's a safety first man, and I think that will work for us.

The thing is, we've actually scored 2 goals each on our last 2 visits to Swansea but we conceded 3 and 2 respectively. This time we conceded zero, and won. That's what it's all about, being able to defend. If the opposition can't score you always have a chance.
