So basically, swap Mclaren and Mercedes around and the pecking order is pretty much how 2012 finished, only Red Bull seem more dominant. Joy. See you all later.
Think we're looking at Red Bull . . Mercedes/Ferari Lotus . . Force India Sauber/McLaren Toro Rosso . Williams . . Marussia . Caterham Unless things change rapidly or race pace is very different then a dull season beckons.
Not sure about that. I'm sure Webber would have beaten Vettel's time without the mistake at the end, but Vettel was on an even faster lap wasn't he?
Oh dear.... please log in to view this image How soon before the top 10 make their first pitstop? 3 laps? 5 laps?
Don't think I've ever seen anything like that, they're all trashed on all four corners, and that was in the damp. It's going to be a frantic start, even if it's dry. Vettel's pole lap:
So Hulkenberg may be the big winner? Button did an extra lap on his, that's going to be a horror show.
Speed Trap 1. Hamilton - 311.1 2. Massa - 309.7 4. Alonso - 308.2 6. Vettel - 307.6 - WTF!! Red Bull have good top speed? 8. Rosberg - 306.6 9. Webber - 304.9 Based on the long runs on Friday, Ferrari have better tyre management than Red Bull (especially compared to Webber). I don't think they have the outright speed to challenge Vettel though. I don't know about Mercedes, but regardless I think a podium is realistic for Alonso. (Alonso looked better than Massa on the long runs and only got beaten by Massa in Q3 because his DRS didn't work).
I slept from 5pm-10pm, i'm in for a very long day! Might have to have an hour or so after the race. I do so much just to watch races live...
