That was terrible. Lucas and Skrtel resembled training cones

Can we look forward to Rodgers saying how proud he is of the effort and application of the players?

We don't deserve European football at this rate to be frank. It's Southampton not ****ing barca. Sort it out Rodgers and start getting nasty on the players. Balls to coddling them, Sahin never got this many chances to **** up

Look forward to Rodger's saying after the match that he can't fault the boys, that everything's okay and that we'll 'move on from here'

I would advise him to stay in the dressing room after this. I really don't want to hear any ****e after seeing so much if it already.

this was started by a pants starting config which put us under so much pressure and got us rattled. The confidence was ripped out of us in the first 15 minutes.

We were never solid, played it tight and looked to absorb and break on them. We should have played this game as we did v Spurs but instead we tried to stretch a game where we hadn't got the ball and it got worse and worse from there.

I knew we should have played to not concede and went from there F F S<doh>

It's really him thats responsible today, poor tactics and team selection.

I didn't think that we [Saints] had a chance against your potent attack today, however we have played very well, which we are capable of, it is the defensive lapses that cause us misery.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Can't wait until we get a new centre back to partner Agger in the summer and a left back that isn't dozy and inconsistent.

  14. Only took Johnson 91mins to actually do something from the right wing today <doh>

he had many chances to overlap downing.

But to be fair, how we were set up and the first 15 minutes, he was too afraid to push on.

Didn't think Agger played well either (again) tbh...

If we had more money available, I'd be buying two new first choice centrebacks.

BR's tactics were disastrous. We never had a chance in this game, we should have had a chance!!

Saints fan in peace here. At the start of this game I wasn't expecting us to get anything from this, but I'm so proud of how we've played against a very decent looking Liverpool team (well, this game aside.) I'm not here to gloat, so good luck for the rest of the season, I can't stand Arsenal, Chelsea or Everton so I hope you get to at least Europa. Thanks for the three points, see you next season!

  20. He wasn't that afraid, he lost the ball up there more times and didn't put the effort in to get back. There was one where their defender headed the ball out and it was dropping over Johnson's shoulder (facing his own goal) and Glen put out a half hearted leg in an 'attempt' to control it but missed the ball completely. What happened? that's right, he didn't think 'oh ****' and try to get it at the second attempt, he let Shaw run past him and didn't track him after Shaw had gone past either!

I normally stick up for Johnson but IMO there is no place, nor can I stand lazy players!!!

Edit: without doubt, the setup was wrong though. There is no way Allen should have played but Johnson was just as bad today IMO.
