    Hull City vs Nottingham Forest

A most welcomed victory against a difficult and resolute Burnley side at Turf Moor ended the hoodoo and pushed City back up into 2nd place. It's getting more and more important for the Tigers to remain consistent for the rest of the Season and get the 5 more wins Bruce predicted to earn promotion. At home, City are a formidable foe, very hard to break down and very attacking, with a vibrant brand of football and a pure attacking intent. Skipper Robert Koren was rested on Monday at Burnley, and may replace Alex Bruce to switch from a more defensive set-up to the usual home set-up. Meyler may be put in the holding midfielder role, with Koren and Quinn having that free role behind the strikers. Tigers fans may be expecting a goal from Gedo (with it being at home) and George Boyd who rather famously, was rejected from Nottingham Forest due to failing an eye test (wtf?) seems destined to score the winner.

After re-appointing Billy Davies as manager, Forest seemed to have had a breath of life into their play. They're in rich form, winning their last 5 matches consecutively and go to the KC Stadium high in confidence. With Forest Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi stating that he aims to get Forest back into Europe, they're team are really starting to mean business. Currently sitting in 6th place, 2 points behind Leicester, Forest are definitely building this game up to be a cracker. Players such as Billy Sharp, Dexter Blackstock and Simon Cox are all dangerous forwards and will pounce at the opportunity to grab a goal or two.

    Interesting Facts
    - The East Yorkshire club are now hoping to wrap up back-to-back doubles over Forest and a fifth successive league victory against them.
    - It is 39 years since Forest recorded an away maximum over Hull. Their 3-1 triumph in the old Second Division was accomplished on Boxing Day 1974.
    - The Tigers have not lost a Championship game in which they have scored first, and have gained all but 13 of their 68 points from games in which they took the initial lead.
    - Forest are hoping to match their six straight league victories in February 2011, but Cardiff is the only one of the top nine clubs they have taken maximum points off.

    Top Scorers

Hull City: Sone Aluko 8, Robert Koren 8, George Boyd 8 (6 with Peterborough), Jay Simpson 7, Gedo 5
Nottingham Forest: Billy Sharp 11, Dexter Blackstock 7, Radoslaw Majewski 5, Simon Cox 5, Andy Reid 5

Reid's just a fat jabba, and I hate him, but there's no denying that his passes and vision are first class. He's always dangerous.

McGugan drifts in and out of the team, didn't know whether it would be safe to put him as one to watch or not <laugh>

Reid has always been an unfulfilled quality and has to be closed down or he will split a 3-5-2 with ease - but of all managers, SB will know that! We need safe, capable football that plays to our strengths and some pacey bursts that will unsettle them - deny them a rythmn and we will have it. Travelling down now for a fleeting visit, got Mackems vs Norwich family day tomorrow, 20 quid for a 5 yr old and his Grandad, a bloody bargain for PL game! UTT

Like most, I usually have a 'feeling' about a game be it positve or negative. This is first game in a long time where I just do not have an inclination either way. Nothing would suprise me today.

That fat **** Reid is like an aerated turd that will not flush away, about time he retired.

Need to keep Billy Sharp and Henderson quiet (if they're fit).

I reckon Billy Davies will set up for a draw today. He'll look at Elmo and Brady and try and stifle them. Early goal needed to bring them out to play.

City 2-0. GB with the first, about time Jack Hobbs got a goal.

I hope Forest come to attack, I'd fancy us against anyone at home in games like that.

If they turn up with a gameplan to stifle, then who knows, it's worked against us before.

I just think 5 wins on the bounce will encourage them to be positive from the off, and I think we'll pick them off if so.

Really looking forward to this game. Its one of those games where anything can happen. I hope we dont make silly mistakes that have cost us points in the past. Should be a great atmosphere as I believe they have sold 3000 tickets. Hope our fans really get behind the team today. Boydy double would be great, and a screamer from Robbie. "Up The Tigers"

Andy Reid has a Che Guevara tattoo. I thought they were reserved for stoner students.
