2 - 2 i say. watchin comic relief and thinking spend too much time fretting bout football! Buts it liverpool, is a massive game against a true giant
Whenever everyone keeps saying it's a banana peel game, it stops being a banana peel game! Seriously, I think it is quite possible we could win and a draw is a very distinct possibility (and I'll take it!). Would be silly not to say the odds are in Liverpool's favor, though. But I've been feeling absurdly optomistic and confident this week for some odd reason, so I'll say 3-2 Saints.
Not sure I'd pick Hooiveld ahead of Fonte to face up against Suarez... our only hope would be to stop him getting the ball at all!
I think Fonte and Clyne will be busy with Gerrard's constant 70 yard diagonals (a la Beckham) to their left (our right) of the penalty area. That will be their way of bypassing Cork/Schneiderlin and I expect to see it even more (if that is possible) than usual tomorrow. It's not long ball of course because it's Gerrard and Liverpool. Not allowed to call it long ball
Imp Agree that long diagonal ball will need careful management but I would suggest whoever plays the no10 role just behind Rickie will need to do their fair share of defensive work in marking Gerrard in his own half to stop him hitting those passes
Liverpool are very hot and cold......on a bit of a run atm and some expectation of gate crashing top 4. Expect that run to end today, Saints 2 - 0.
Good chance Davis may start. Punch plays well in these sort of games and will start. Lallana probably getting nod over Gaston. Boruc....Clyne..Fonte..Yoshida..Shaw ....Cork..Schneiderlin.... Lallana..Davis..Puncheon....Lambert.
What I'd be tempted to play: Puncheon----Lambert---Lallana -------------Rodriguez--------- Definitely want Rodriguez up front, especially if Carragher plays.
Right I'm off out for the day, can't go to the game but hopefully will be back in time to watch/listen at home. Don't forget your armbands.
Out all the sides we played, Liverpool arguably played the best against us and "battered" us one-nil. That final stat on goals isn't a reflection of the game (like the Arse one as well). Believe that the game up there was their "turning point". My only hope is, we started their turn around and so we are the ones to finish it. Just can't see it though...
