Great film- soundtrack is fantastic also. Hard to not vote for that or Dambusters, Where Eagles Dare, Battle of Britain, Black Hawk Down or Downfall. All good films, but Zulu just wins it for me.
I'm a big Kubrick fan and I like the film, but let's be honest - it's a bit ****e after Ermey gets killed
war films just seem to fit perfectly on a rainy day, Zulu is a classic, bridge too far wins almost purely for the era it's in and for having sean connery
theres a lot to choose from !!! the longest day das boot guns of navarrone where eagles dare kellys heroes bridge too far saving pvt ryan black hawk down FMJ starwars three kings enemy at the gates
Longest Day has Connery in as well, but his accent is bloody awful. Think his character's supposed to be from Yorkshire or Lancashire. Not as bad as his Irish impression in the Untouchables though.
