Well that looks like 2 spanish and 2 german clubs in the CL semi's and in the Europa comp. Chelsea and Spurs should go through but sadly for Newcastle Benfica could well be too strong,, imo.

Maybe its a good job that Man Utd are out as a trip to Turkey would not be good news.

Arsenal would have been good enough to dismiss Juve but for there Emerates shocker. imo.

 

From those draws, spurs and chelsea should get through comfortably..could easily be a chelsea v spurs final if they avoid each other next round.. Benfica will be too strong for newcastle but fenerbache and lazio are ****e

 

Chelsea and Spurs should have more than enough for Kazan and Basel. I'm afraid Newcastle are out. However, I was impressed with their performance against Anzhi over the two legs. They weren't pretty, but they were effective, and two clean-sheets was very impressive indeed.

I meant the final will likely be contested between either lazio, spurs or chelsea...

 

I think spurs can take on benfica or newcastle and chelsea can take lazio so if that's the draw, spurs v chelsea final yes please

 

Then again Newcastle will probably only english team to get through

 

What I don’t like about this is that you could be faced with this scenario:

Chelsea or Spurs win the Europa League and then qualify for the group stages of the Champions League next season.

They then do **** in the group, finish 3rd and drop back into the Europa League to defend their title albeit with a much easier route than they would get starting from the first stage of the Europa league.

 

That's a really **** draw in terms of the quarters, although it'll make for some tasty semis.

They might as well just skip this round in fact, because it's clear as day that the semi-finalists will be Barca, Real, Bayern and Dortmund.

 

The only quarter final over both cups I can't choose a definite winner from is Bayern vs Juventus.

 

My semi finalists will be; Real, Dortmund, Juve & Barcelona.

In the Europa league: Chelsea, Spurs, Lazio & Benfica

 

Probably the same for me.
